Episode #368 Join the Conversation with AflerGlo Wellness Society

New Episode featuring Paul Farrell, Founder and Director of AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd, is out now! AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd. is a Veteran-led, federally incorporated Canadian not-for-profit organization focused on improving mental-health outcomes for Veterans and first responders through research, education, advocacy and partnership. They bring together Veterans, families, researchers, healthcare professionals, universities, governments, employers and community organizations to strengthen support for properly authorized clinical research and evidence-informed public education. AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd. was founded from lived experience with military service, Veteran mental-health challenges and the effects those challenges have on families. Paul Farrell’s experience as a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran and Jennifer Farrell-Sleeth’s experience as a Veteran partner and implementation leader shape our commitment to responsible research, public education and meaningful collaboration. Paul served with the 1st Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, including service in Afghanistan, and later transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he worked as an aviation technician. His background also includes studies in law and security and the human-services field, along with volunteer work supporting marginalized and underrepresented communities. Paul’s lived experience with military service, PTSD and the challenges of navigating mental-health care gives him a direct understanding of the gaps Veterans and their families face. Those experiences led him to establish AfterGlo Wellness Society Ltd. His work now focuses on bringing Veteran voices into research and public policy, building relationships among governments, universities, researchers, clinicians and community organizations, and advancing properly authorized clinical research addressing PTSD and treatment-resistant mental-health conditions. #PTSI #MentalHealth #Veteran #Healing MERCH: https://www.wgy6.ca/Operation-Tango-Romeo.html Sponsored by ShopVeteran.ca by Canadian Legacy Project- Support Veteran owned businesses and register your Veteran owned business for free.
