  1. Revisiting WWE SmackDown 2004 - The Daniel Puder/Kurt Angle Incident

    10H AGO

Revisiting WWE SmackDown 2004 - The Daniel Puder/Kurt Angle Incident

It's November 4th, 2004, and for Kurt Angle, it was supposed to be a regular day in the ring, but what nearly happens could have changed the careers of him & his "opponent" forever! On this episode of the DEADLOCK Podcast, we're going to take a look at the infamous incident between Kurt Angle & Tough Enough Season 4's Daniel Puder. Puder, who is definitely from the UFC, has become a fan favorite as of late on the SmackDown-exclusive "Million Dollar Tough Enough". Al Snow has brought Kurt Angle out to teach these guys a lesson in what it takes to be a WWE Superstar, including doing squats, running, eating pasta, and drinking milk.  After Kurt puts them through a session of burpees, he asks any of the competitors if they want to get in the ring with him. Daniel Puder is the man to step up to the plate, and everything after that is history. Also on this episode, Booker T is getting ready for his PPV title match against JBL, but JBL & his "Chief of Staff" Orlando Jordan have come up with a plan to try to take him out before then. Josh Mathews interviews Orlando Jordan before his scheduled match with Booker T, and Orlando & JBL's attitude sets Josh off, leading to him teaming up with Booker T in the MAIN EVENT of this SmackDown to face JBL & Orlando! We also can't forget that Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak are on this show. They take on the team of RVD & Rey Mysterio! Spike Dudley & The Dudley Boyz look to take out The Big Show before Survivor Series, and Jackie Gayda looks to defend the honor of her man, Charlie Haas, against Dawn Marie in an Arm Wrestling Contest. 2004 really was special. ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W ⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com ⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling ⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com  #deadlock #prowrestling

  2. Revisiting WCW Monday Nitro 1996 - 1st World Title Change On Nitro, Macho Man vs Ric Flair, Hogan Wants A Title Shot

    FEB 2

Revisiting WCW Monday Nitro 1996 - 1st World Title Change On Nitro, Macho Man vs Ric Flair, Hogan Wants A Title Shot

WCW emanates from Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for this edition of WCW Monday Nitro on January 22nd, 1996, where there are not one, but TWO big title matches on hand. The WCW World Heavyweight Championship is currently held by Ric Flair, and on this edition of WCW Nitro, he defends it against "The Macho Man" Randy Savage. But, this isn't the main event! The second title match, which sees Harlem Heat defending the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Sting & Lex Luger...is also not the main event! The main event of this show sees Hulk Hogan taking on the current WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, One Man Gang! It is not for the title. Why is it the main event? Because it is, brother. Of course, Hulk Hogan's eyes aren't set on the US Championship, they're set on the World Championship, and he is hoping that his "friend", Randy Savage, will give him the first shot as champion. The Macho Man sees things a little differently, though. Also on this show, Dean Malenko takes on the "Loose Cannon", Brian Pillman! All of that, and so much more, on this week's DEADLOCK Podcast! ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W ⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com ⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling ⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com  #deadlock #prowrestling

  3. Revisiting Lucha Underground S1 Episode 2 - Mil Muertes Debuts, Chavo Guerrero Turns Heel

    JAN 26

Revisiting Lucha Underground S1 Episode 2 - Mil Muertes Debuts, Chavo Guerrero Turns Heel

The boys are back in The Temple! Last week, we took our first look at Lucha Underground. We had such a good time with it, that we decided for the first time to do a BACK-TO-BACK review, following up on the last episode. This week, we're taking a look at the 2nd episode of Lucha Underground! Big Ryck, as well as his henchmen Cortez Castro & Cisco are here to run their mouths some more after the damage they dealt out to Johnny Mundo & Prince Puma after last episode's main event. But, Mundo & Puma don't take the trash talk for too long, which brings Dario Cueto to set up a tag match right away! Chavo Guerrero teams with Sexy Star to take on Son of Havoc & Ivelisse, in a follow up match from last week where Sexy Star was beaten by Son of Havoc (who absolutely pulled the tights, just so you know!). But that's not the last we see of Chavo Guerrero tonight! Also, in our main event, the debut of 1,000 deaths - Mil Muertes steps into the Temple to take on the winner of last week's main event, Blue Demon Jr! All of that, and much more, on this week's DEADLOCK Podcast! ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W ⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com ⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling ⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com  #deadlock #prowrestling

  4. Revisiting WWF RAW 1996 - Go-Home Show for IYH: Buried Alive, Mankind & Undertaker Speak, Stone Cold vs HBK, and Fake Diesel & Razor Ramon!

    JAN 11

Revisiting WWF RAW 1996 - Go-Home Show for IYH: Buried Alive, Mankind & Undertaker Speak, Stone Cold vs HBK, and Fake Diesel & Razor Ramon!

We're on the road to WWF In Your House: Buried Alive, where The Undertaker & Mankind will do battle in the first ever Buried Alive match! To get you ready for that match, Mankind & Undertaker have some things to say from, of course, a graveyard. In the main event of this episode of WWF Monday Night RAW, Stone Cold Steve Austin will take on Shawn Michaels in their first one-on-one match in RAW history. Steve Austin is getting ready for his match against Savio Vega at the PPV, and Shawn Michaels...is not doing anything at the PPV because his schedule is very, very tough! Also on this show, Vader takes on Phineas I. Godwinn (PIG) who is managed by Hillbilly Jim! Hunter Hearst Helmsley has a difficult night against Freddie Joe Floyd (Tracy Smothers), because Mr. Perfect can't stop stealing his women. Faarooq & Ahmed Johnson have a war of words, and Faarooq takes out his frustrations on THE PUG! Of course, you can't forget about Jerry Lawler, who is doing his best to make fun of Jake Roberts and his demons. All of that, and so much more, on this week's DEADLOCK Podcast! ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W ⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com ⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling ⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com  #deadlock #prowrestling

  5. Revisiting WCW Monday Nitro 1996 – The Debut of Crow Sting, WCW/NWO Rivalry Grows, & Hollywood Hogan's New Movie!

    JAN 5

Revisiting WCW Monday Nitro 1996 – The Debut of Crow Sting, WCW/NWO Rivalry Grows, & Hollywood Hogan's New Movie!

It's WCW Nitro from October 21, 1996! We're on the road to Halloween Havoc 1996, and the New World Order are on a tear, taking out anyone and everyone in their path. WCW are still putting up a fight, but they need someone to step up to the plate and lead them to victory! There's only one man that can get the job done, and he makes his return to WCW after a month long absence; it's STING! Sting is back, and for the first time, he makes an appearance with the beginning stages of the "Crow Sting" look. But, whose side is he on...? Plus, "Macho Man" Randy Savage is having his heart strings pulled at, as Miss Elizabeth makes a plea for him to forgive her, despite her being with the NWO. Eric Bischoff showed him a video last week of her apologizing, and has the great idea of showing him another video this week! Also, Hollywood Hulk Hogan is here...live from a movie set! He's here to talk about the movie he's working on; 3 NINJAS! Everyone knows that movie! All of that, plus some in-ring action from DDP, Chris Jericho, Harlem Heat, Lex Luger, Roadblock, Big Ron Studd, and many more! ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W ⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com ⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling ⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com  #deadlock #prowrestling

  6. Revisiting WWF Superstars of Wrestling 1987 – Piper's Pit with Hulk Hogan & Andre The Giant, Outback Jack, and New Tag Team Champions!

    12/28/2025

Revisiting WWF Superstars of Wrestling 1987 – Piper's Pit with Hulk Hogan & Andre The Giant, Outback Jack, and New Tag Team Champions!

The biggest WrestleMania of all time (there have only been two so far) is upon is, and with no matches announced, and a venue that is only just getting announced on this show, the WWF is going to have to pull out all the stops to have record-breaking attendance numbers for this one. Thankfully for them, life as a pro wrestling fan is a lot different in 1987, and a match like Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant is enough to sell NINETY-THOUSAND TICKETS (or maybe not, dude). The date is February 7, 1987 for this episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling. Roddy Piper (along with Jesse Ventura) invite Hulk Hogan & Andre The Giant on to Piper's Pit to talk about their issues, but Bobby Heenan surprises everyone by showing up as well! Also on this show, the WWF Tag Team Titles are on the line as The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart w/ Jimmy Hart) go for the gold against the British Bulldogs (Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid). Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, the referee for this contest is that evil referee, Danny Davis! Outback Jack makes his WWF debut because his friend Hillbilly Jim brought him in, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage is here to beat up some local talent that the crowd hates. All of that, and so much more! ⦁ Deadlock Discord: https://discord.gg/E4BvR4W ⦁ Deadlock Shop: https://shop.deadlockpw.com ⦁ Deadlock Patreon: https://patreon.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Instagram: https://instagram.com/deadlockwrestling ⦁ Deadlock Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/deadlockpw ⦁ Deadlock Pro Wrestling: http://deadlockpro.com
