The Table of Status vs. The Table of Grace - Luke 14:1, 7–14

In this episode, Pastor Joe McGarry preaches on Luke 14:1, 7–14, where Jesus turns a Pharisee’s dinner party upside down. Instead of fighting for the best seats, Jesus points us to the table of God’s grace—a place where the last are first, the first are last, and everyone has a seat. Drawing on everyday life, stories from ministry, this sermon speaks to our culture of competition and comparison and offers a better way: living from the freedom of God’s mercy. Pastor Joe reminds us that at Christ’s table, no one is excluded. Whether you’re full of faith or full of doubt, whether you’ve been in church every week or haven’t been in years, you are welcome at the feast of grace. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t measure up, if you’ve ever wondered where you belong, this message is for you. Pull up a chair—your seat at the table is already waiting.
