    Episode 6: Kenneth Biehl Jr.

    My eldest brother is the guest this episode. Ken Biehl is the man who taught me to dance before my first boy-girl dance (the kid-n-play and the running man), helped me focus on my education and career and continues to help me navigate my life.  He shares his identity with us that revolve around being a dad and doctor. His perspective on race and fitting in is fascinating and enlightening.     My mom is my fourth guest. She shares the story of how her parents - a FBI (Full Blooded Indian) Tsimshian woman from Alaska and a farmer from no-where Iowa - met. She discusses her experience as a math teacher, meeting my father (in the 6th grade), living in South Korea and more.

    Episode 3 - Aaron Biehl

    Episode number 3 features my youngest brother, Aaron Biehl. He is the youngest of us all by far - about 10 years younger than the rest of the larger group. His experience as white-passing Alaska Native man is very interesting (aren't they all). He discussed his first experience of being identified as not white, his desire for a motorcycle trip through BC to commune with our land. And much more! I talk a little too much blood quantum (aka genocide) and how I found out that I was the wrong kind of Indian (dot versus feather - or totem pole?). In fact, I think I talk a little too much all together. So you get to learn more about me.
