    Dr. Evelisse Capó, received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Purdue University and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. While practicing clinical pharmacy, she witnessed the pain and suffering of many chronically ill patients in hospitals and long-term care institutions.
    She is a diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and a graduate of the CNS and eCornell Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate. She is the Executive Director of Spanish Programs and Culinary Content for the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.

    Maya Acosta is a co-leader of the Plant-Based DFW PlantPure Communities Pod located in Dallas, TX. This is a support group designed to empower individuals looking to make healthier lifestyle changes. The organization has offered guest lectures, plant-based potlucks, film screenings, and community walks.
    Maya completed her certification in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell Center for Nutrition Studies in 2018. She also studied Dr. John McDougall’s Dietary Therapy Course and the Blue Zones’ Staying Alive course.
    Maya is the producer and host of the Healthy Lifestyle Solutions podcast, a podcast about the power of lifestyle medicine. In her podcast, Maya interviews health experts about the benefits of consuming a plant-forward diet, using exercise as medicine, meditation, and energy work for stress management and for mental health.     Dr. Yolanda was born in PR in a small town named Florida, South Florida. She’s the eldest of 5. Her mother was a teacher that after 30 years in education turned Major of their town (won 3 terms). Her father wore many hats. His daytime job was as an administrator of government housing projects. On the side, he was a professional  photographer, draftsman, small business owner, and a lifetime amazing baseball player. She grew up surrounded by grandparents and great-grandparents (She met 8 of them). Her grandfather died a few months ago at 104 years of age.
    In 1988 they moved to Miami for her Pediatric residency and in 2008 moved to Savannah, GA because of her husband's job. In 2020 she quit her employed job in a pediatric group to open solo. In April 2021 with the help of her family, friends, and SBA office she opened The Tiny Beet a General Pediatrician and Lifestyle Medicine Office. The first one of its kind in their region.
