When he has a guest on the show, the discussion is lively, fun, and respectful. If you love movies and want a podcast that’s concise, fun, and smart, this is absolutely worth subscribing to.

Oh Ron, I LOVE your content so much, 5 stars, but I think your review of Abbott Elementary is a bit of a miss. Perhaps you’re focusing too much on the entertainment value it has for you, (a grown adult), without reflecting on the impact the show has been having on children and families. Especially now that the DOE is under threat. Good stories/shows can be “mirrors” reflecting our lived experience or “sliding doors” opening up another person’s world. Peabody Award winning Abbott Elementary open up a believable world, while it manages to entertain. If it lasts three years or nine years, it will still have this sustaining impact.

Ronald young jr. is the best! He has so much joy (love listening just to hear him laugh) and I love listening to him talk about movies. He is fair and honest and rooting for filmmakers and writers and actors! He’s my favorite “critic” (in parentheses because he is t your typical pedantic, caustic critic). Keep up the great work! Also love you on pop culture happy hour! You are always the best guest host!

I always enjoy hearing Ronald on PCHH and have recently subscribed to this podcast. I enjoy his takes and am always happy to see the podcast pop up in my feed!
