Cacao Conversations w/ Mariela Diaz Cariño

In this episode, La Michi sits down with her dear friend Mariela—a Medication Technician at an Assisted Living Facility, and a devoted cacao guardian, facilitator, and enthusiast. Her love for cacao is felt in every word she speaks and every cup she shares. Together, they dive deep into the heart of cacao: its roots, its benefits, and the way it connects us to ourselves and each other. Mariela shares her journey of how cacao found her, the wisdom it carries, and how this sacred plant can support healing, intention, and community. This is more than just a conversation—it’s an intimate exchange between two friends who believe in the power of cacao to bring people together. Whether you’re completely new to cacao or already walking with this medicine, you’ll find insights, warmth, and maybe even inspiration to begin your own relationship with it. If you’ve ever wondered what makes cacao more than “just chocolate,” why people are turning to it for ceremony, and how you can invite it into your own life—this episode is for you. Pour yourself a cup, get cozy, and join us for a rich and heart-opening conversation you won’t want to miss.
