Only Begotten Son

Are we talking about The only begotten Son of God? Are we talking about Abraham and Sarah? Seemingly, Genesis is preparing the world for a greater storyline within the story of God’s Word. So many parallels yet so much more to learn and live for us as Christ followers. God will provide for Himself the Lamb for sacrifice – The only begotten Son. Seeking Better Homeland

Abraham and Sarah are each an example of faith in God. Each believed the promises from God enough to leave their old homeland in order to seek a better homeland. Testimony of Faith

What do Abel, Enoch, and Noah have in common? They had the testimony of God that by faith they pleased God and had received the reward of righteousness by faith for seeking Him. They were convinced that God was worth more than anything else they could be offered. How about us? We Need Endurance

The writer of the letter to the Hebrews told his readers, “you have need of endurance.” Why do we need perseverance? Each of the other letter writers also encouraged us to diligently endure trials and tribulations in order to be approved by God and to reach the reward. We Must Endure

After a severe warning against abandoning their faith journey to Jesus, the writer of Hebrews speaks to those who are in the faith to exhort them to endure. We need endurance to receive the eternal reward. And he encourages them, we will endure like those who have gone before us. Warning: No Other Way

There is an accountability to the gracious offer of eternal life in Christ Jesus. If one refuses to accept the gift of salvation through the superior sacrifice of the Son of God, the alternative is frightening and terrible. The writer to the Hebrews pleads with his readers who might be on the fence or even tempted to reject Christ that they don’t want face the anger of the offended Father. Draw Near to God Together

As we draw nearer to God, we find that God is drawing us nearer to His people as well, especially nearer to those who also are drawing nearer to Him. And through faith, hope, and love, we find that as these grow in us, we grow closer to Christ. And we want to draw nearer to one another. Draw Near to God

In light of everything we have learned about Christ being better and doing better in order to give unprecedented (except Eden) access to the throne of God, let us then draw near to Him. So why dabble with friendship with the world and its fleeting pleasures when you can have infinite joy in the presence of the Almighty. Sanctified Body

Jesus came into the world in a body specially prepared for Him (Psalm 40:6). So are we according to Psalm 139. But we need the perfect obedience of Christ’s body applied to our hearts to help us live the life God willed for our bodies. And God accomplishes that when we not only live by the Spirit but also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26) Hebrews 10:1-18 Recorded Sunday morning, July 19, 2026 by Brad D Harris We hope that this online service has blessed you. Fruit of the Spirit

We are called to love our neighbor as ourself. Jesus said to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. These do not come natural to us but require His Spirit. But as a tree produces fruit according to its nature. Those who are saved, they have His Spirit and will produce fruit in accord with His nature. His fruit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
