    Shutter Island

    Season 2 Episode 4: They’re back. This is the start of a series called March Madness. The team will be covering movies with people that go mad.  Shannon and Evan are taking a trip to Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island. This is a favorite of both of them. They will be gushing about Marty’s direction and the cinematography. With horror elements the film they do discuss what is a horror movie. Do spoilers bother you? This is the kind of film you go in cold. Much love is thrown out to Knives Out. Max Von Sydow is in the VOPS Hall of Fame. Apparently Evan needs to see My Week With Marylin. Bring out the crush list because Eddie Redmayne is mention and Evan loses his mind. They take a trip to the sidebar with the Now You See Me Franchise. The duo settles the long-standing argument, who’s better Marty or Steven. What’s your favorite Leo? Have your answer ready.     Never Been Kissed

    Season 2 Episode 3: For the love season Shannon and Evan dip into this late ‘90s romantic comedy starting a staple of the podcast Drew Barrymore. Evan is convinced this is Mean Girls before Mean Girls. And you can’t change his mind. This is the cringest comedy before The Office. Shannon loves the soundtrack. What a surprise Evan didn’t. Who was in The Beach Boys studio? They both do some investigation. Is this film connected to Scary Movie? It might be. The new world age dating gap is on display. Do they judge? Yes, they do, sadly. The show takes a trip to the sidebar with Huge Hefner...yep! This podcast stans Leelee Sobieski. The queen ontop of VO PICTURE SHOW mountain Saoirse Ronan is name-dropped again. This might be one of the most connected films in the VO PICTURE SHOW universe. Other topics mentioned in this episode: Scooby-Doo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Brad Pitt, and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.     Some Kind Of Wonderful

    Season 2 Episode 2: They are heading to the ‘80s for this teenage romantic comedy. How does this film connect to Criminal Minds? The duo will let you know. Evan explains his crush on Eric Stoltz. Someone, please tweet them what episode Shannon first expressed her love of Full House. Because it comes back again...like the plague. The art of kissing turns into a heated debate. They just can’t seem to get out of the John Hughes universe. Will they ever cover Sixteen Candles? Watts is a queer icon and Evan will go into detail why. He also is ready to die on that hill. Does John Hughes have more queer characters in his classic films? They go into a deep dive to find that answer and it may surprise you.     Avengers Endgame

    Season 2 Episode 1: Guess who’s back? Back again! They are back, tell some friends. Shannon and Evan are back for season 2 with the biggest movie of all time. But to start things off, they are a fan of the first two Thor movies. Evan goes into full nerd mode about the final battle scene. Shannon dropped tears in a public place over the death of THAT character. They both explain why Black Widow was done a bit dirty. Who doesn’t love the Guardians of the Galaxy? We won’t spoil it here but one of the duo likes Infinity War more. Shannon has so many snacks from the film. And of course, you can talk about the MCU without going into all things Spider-Man. Trailer talk is back with The New Mutants. There is breaking movie in the MCU that’s old now but they give you the scoop. There is a new segment called WHY?! Evan goes off on the Golden Globes and he goes all-in on a serious issue that Hollywood has. For real, he loses his mind. He says all the things you are thinking about.     Season Finale: Number One

    Episode 7: Evan and Shannon are back with the season one finale. They go into movies they’ve seen this year. Shannon goes in on Hustlers and the outcome is a bit surprising. Evan shows off his love for Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist. Yes, there is some J LO Oscar talk. On the news that Doctor Sleep is getting a Blu-Ray director’s cut, Evan expresses some mega love for the theatrical version of the film. The Lego Movie 2 comes up because The Lego Movie something comes up every episode. Melanie Martinez is a topic of discussion and you’ll be like “what? Why her?!” Don’t worry they explain. Evan is sorely disappointed in Hobbes and Shaw. But he does spoil the two big cameos in the film. Cats, what is this?! Trailer Talk is back with dives into Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. Get ready for some laughs and some high energy this episode. Edited and produced by Dan Turner

    Home Alone

    Episode 6: Shannon and Evan head to Chicago to cover the Christmas Classic for the season. They clash over who’s fault it is for leaving Kevin home alone. Shannon shows her loves for the CBS classic Christmas features such as Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Evan gives ample evidence that this film is a fantasy and he will tell you why. Did you ever wonder where Kevin get all the instruments of injury? So do they. Evan loves Sixteen Candles and will keep bringing it up (because they haven’t covered it yet). How they get on the Disney sidebar is baffling but intriguing. Demi Lavato would stan this episode. In the Christmas spirit, Evan and Shannon go over their favorite Christmas movies.     Episode 5: Shannon and Evan take a trip to the Catalina Wine Mixer. They play six degrees of Bacon with Richard Jenkins and Channing Tatum. Shannon expresses her love for Adam Scott. The duo gets their hopes up for sponsorship by Netflix. Did you ever think that Will Farrell has an oeuvre? I think you might be surprised that he does. Evan creates a new side podcast for a famous celebrity body part. There is a sidebar on top of a sidebar on top of a sidebar. Sidebar-ception.     Episode 4: Team Picture Show with Evan and Shannon tackle the 2000 big-budget adaptation of the tv show. Evan declares his love for Back to the Future (again!). Who knows if they can get through the plot of the film because things go off the rails in all the best ways. Evan can’t remember what they cover in the episode. Shannon has her usual snack.     Edward Scissorhands

    Episode 3: Evan and Shannon take a trip back to the quintessential suburban town for this Tim Burton cult classic. There may be a difference of opinion that gets aired out. Plus an alternate universe version with Michael Jackson, Drew Barrymore and River Phoenix. Shannon expresses her love for all things Tim Burton.     Episode 2: Evan and Shannon embrace their New England roots to talk about this “authentic New England period horror film”. Shannon tests out her Black Phillip voice which much gives you the chills. There are connections to Game of Thrones that are uncovered. Shannon shares her paranormal experience.
