Rates & Barrels: A show about Baseball

this show is absolutely fantastic. i was harsh on jed previously but he’s not as detrimental to the show as i previously thought. he’s pretty solid. this show is at its best when it’s just eno and dvr or when may joins. unfortunately, britt is a really poor podcaster and is an automatic skip. i hate writing this because i am extremely progressive and am desperate for there to be more women in baseball coverage. just unfortunately, britt is what mlb wants coverage to be to an extreme, therefore says practically nothing of real value and acts like everything is black or white and has 1 true answer when this is a sport that has a lot of nuance. she is literally a mouthpiece for mlb making points that are exactly what they would want to hear time and time again. when eno, on the other hand, actually analyzes the numbers and makes objective points that are not fueled by wanting to fuel a narrative that mlb wants pushed. this is my fave podcast out there but i don’t even listen to a minute if i see britt is on. total waste of time. it feels like the athletic literally inserted her in here to make y’all more uniform with every other baseball pod that lacks actual objectivity. i know this all sounds dramatic/too simple/too harsh/trying too hard to be radical etc and i don’t think i wrote this well either but there is some SMALL truth to it i swear. praying for britt to move on from this show to another. and best of luck to her too. obviously she’s just doing her job and sorry for the harshness

Enjoy the show. Great analysis and information. Trevor and Jed are nice weekly additions. Britt needs to go, voice is nails on chalkboard.

Time codes always off and you can’t skip through and every time I go back to the show it starts over. Just frustrating to try and listen to
