Bad Songwriter Podcast

I’m not a singer songwriter, but I am a writer, and I can totally relate to the cringe-worthy feeling of looking back on things I wrote a few years ago (or even last week, tbh.) Regardless of genre I think it's so helpful and inspiring to learn from these early works! And the music reccs in this podcast are amazing.

Worth it just for the music rec's, but the entire show is perceptive and cute and funny as all get out. Rare to hear talented musicians speak so plainly yet with such focus, and besides who doesn't love some sheepish salad days. one of two podcasts I never miss an episode of.

I really enjoy the light, conversational tone of this show. The idea of having songwriters revisit (and often cringe at) their first songs is unique, insightful, and entertaining. Definitely stands out in a sea of bad music podcasts. Love it and looking forward to more!
