And … we’re back!
Apologies for the extended break. From now on I will try to release episodes more often. Another improvement I’m making is cutting out the ads, as well as anything that is not the shipping forecast.
If you have a cool waves photo you’ve taken, email it to me and I might include it in the cover art next time.

I Adore This
This is the most wonderful podcast for falling asleep. I absolutely adore this.
Good but…
This is a great idea but the recordings need to be edited to 1. Include the "sailing by" music that usually comes before the shipping forecast (very soothing) and 2. Cut off immediately after the shipping forecast ends. Including the national anthem and news afterwards often wakes me up after drifting peacefully off to sleep, which kind of defeats the purpose. Just cut it off after the announcer wishes us a peaceful night.
“Rising quickly…Good!”
As a Brit abroad it is so wonderful to have this institution available whenever I need it to help me drift off to sleep. So many happy memories of listening to this with my Dad…North Utsire, South Utsire, German Bight…the British lullaby for those of us lucky enough not to be out in those gales. More episodes please please and thank you for putting these up.
