Dead Folks Podcast

I love this podcast! I love how real and open it is. It’s like sitting in a room with the hosts and having a conversation with them.

I can’t get enough of “viewing” Brooke and Haley. They have a wonderful way of bringing humor into the grief discussion and are so open and real about their experiences. It is nice to hear personal anecdotes as it normalizes so many of the feelings and moments others have experienced. Brooke is one of my good friends and listening to this podcast makes me feel like Haley should be one of my good friends too! You wanted feedback...I loved the episode on pet death because I have lost a pet who I deeply loved. I appreciate that you can take moments to be honest and sad during the podcast and then bring it back to humor very quickly. It makes it easy to relate to you both. I have not yet counted the number of “umms” but mostly because I get distracted from the task. It does sometimes feel like you lose track of the topic at hand, but that actually makes it feel more like a conversation with friends. The Christmas special spoke to me too...I am a weird mix of Brooke and Haley. I love the traditions of Christmas, like the Yule log, but I find the large family gatherings overwhelming and anxiety provoking. I can relate to both experiences. Thank you for taking this journey and for inviting me and others along.

This is my favorite podcast! Brooke and Haley are a hoot and they both say a lot of things I relate to as someone who has experienced a heap of loss. They make me laugh, cry, and feel stuff. I recommend this to anyone who is working through grief and needs a couple of grief-buddies to get through it.
