    Ira Holmes International Film Series

    In this episode of CF SPEAKS we discuss the Ira Holmes International Film Series with Ira Holmes. He recounts learning how to put on a film series, finding funding, and censorship. He also comments on the relevance of film in our current culture.     Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing' Panel (Part 1)

    **Episode correction: Dr. Janna Jones is professor of Media Studies at Northern Arizona University.** Dr. Janna Jones discusses Do the Right Thing (Spike Lee, 1989). She gives political and cultural context for the time, exposes the change Public Enemy brought to rap music, and notes the duality of Love/Hate punctuated by moments of anger and moments of tenderness throughout the film.
