    SPOTLIGHT Dr. Pascale Chery

    text us if... This month we are thrilled to talk with Dr. Pascale Chery! Pascale Chery is a first-generation Haitian-American who grew up  in New York straddling the two cultures.   Her early years were shaped mostly by the art of music.  She played piano, saxophone, and composed tunes.  She had every intention of becoming a musician however her parents talked her out of it for fear of not being able to support herself.  She then took the decision to become a dentist.  Dr. Chery attended and completed undergraduate and graduate studies at Rutgers University and went into residency and practice thereafter. She married shortly after dental school and bore two children.  Unfortunately, the marriage didn't survive and she became a single parent early in my career.  Raising  two children away from family posed many challenges. However, it gave her insight on the trials and tribulations that many children face growing up in school today.  Today she is writing as part of my creative expression to help children build-self confidence and self-love.
