    Gaby and Danie read Thunderhead for the first time. We split it into two parts in an attempt to make an easier-to-digest episode but our episode still ended up being over two hours so there's that :) Join us as we venture back to MidMerica and follow our favorite Honorable Scyth Anastasia and slightly less Honorable but just as iconic Scyth Lucifer and their journey to being the best Scyths they know how to be. All the while we get a deeper look into the mind of the Thunderhead, which terrifies Danie to the point where she wants to throw up. It's a good time. Come join us!     CH 61: What color are your murder robes? Reading Scythe Book 1 for the first time | ettwh

    Danie and Gaby read Scythe for the first time! A book we have seen everywhere and were super excited to finally jump into and boy were we not disappointed! A book full of humor, joy, and moralistic questions. We follow our two heroes as they embark on their journey to become Scyths, the grim reapers of the modern world. A journey neither of them wants to be on the begin with. Gaby and Dan talk through the main plot of the book and the emotional journey they went on while trying to decide if it was ok to so deeply enjoy a book that delves so deeply into the realm of death and when does death become murder. We follow the story of Ferya, a girl whisked away to the magical land of Prythian, who falls in love with the High Lord of the Spring Court. Join us as we take a deep dive critical look into one of the hottest YA novels on the market. Trigger warning for rape and sexual assault in the second have of the episode after the 1-hour mark.     Dan and Gab kick off February and the season of Love, with a deep dive into a new classic: Red, White, and Royal Blue! This book is a cult favorite with good reason it has heart, soul, and a pinch of spice! Join us on our rollercoaster of emotions as we follow the star-crossed lovers; Henry the Prince of England, and Alex the first son of America, and their journey of gay panic and self-discovery. Not only that but have a look into Danie and Gaby's love life past present and future. This book leads us to discuss our own love experiences and what we have come to expect of our partners' present and future, and things we want the world to know in case there is someone out there settling for less than what they deserve.     Hummd joins us this month as we wrap up our trip from space in the book Cress from the Lunar Chronicles! We meander around from topic to topic ranging from Epilogs and children in books to the show Loki but eventually find our way back to our ragtag group of heroes as they start their revolution.     61: CH 56 : Dan's Hit Different

    Gab and Danie discuss book 3 of Cress ( 3 of 4 of the Lunar Chronicles). We go through the emotional roller coasters that are: watching our gang be separated and brought back together ,Gaby drinking half of a bottle of wine, and Danie solving the mystery of her tummy pains! You know the usual Thursday for our girls! We are happily  joined by Gaby's boyfriend and his lovely dog quietly sleeping  in the background and Danie.......finally....gets to make the joke she's been wanting to make for months.
