Cafe' LBD is my personal journal about my life now as a Caregiver for my mother with Lewy Body Dementia. Life is a struggle in it's self and now throwing in Caregiving, is it a whole new ball game.     S2, Ep 11: Now you see me, now you don't...

    It has been emotional of late for me. I am not sure if this disease is progressing or what. It just amazes me how one moment she knows who I am, then the next she doesn't, and it happens without any warning.

    S2, Ep 10...Let me off this ride!

    This roller-coaster ride has no ending. However, we do make stops, but not enough of them for me. I am doing my best to handle what comes, but I can say this, caregiving is not for the week!

    S2, Ep 9...A New Day

    Every day IS like a box of chocolate when it comes to Dementia. Now I pray that my mother will recognize me when I get up in the mornings. She did a few mornings ago. So will take that and praying for more days.

    Living and caring for some with Dementia is challenging and stressful. I am tring not to let it stress me out, but this up and down, is too much and I got to get back to things that keep me relax

    S2, Ep 5: It's Morning and what will the day bring

    Mom has Lewy Body Dementia , and most times I don't know if I'm coming or going. I guess I will never get use to this!

    S2, Ep 4: I do not like SUNDOWNING!!

    All people with Dementia, will experience sundowning. It's how we handle it, is what's important and I still do not handle it well!
