    Rave-O-Lution Mixtape #009 - Fer-D

It’s been a while, but we’re back with a new mixtape! Fer-D, who you might also recognise as a resident DJ at Loophole, has once again raided his record collection to unearth the gems from 1993. 40 tracks from the days when we swapped our "housebroeken" and Troop-jackets for Australian tracksuits, all mixed using the turntables that were also found in nightclubs back in 1993: the Technics SL1200. To cut a long story short: cheer up the people stuck in a traffic jam or on a packed train – crank the volume right up...Boom! Bang! TRACKLIST Rave-O-Lution Mixtape #009 - Rave-O-Lution 1993 01. Mat Weasel @ Audio Active 04-12-2009 | Musicon/The Hague/Holland

Today we received the sad news that Mat Weasel has passed away. The man who put upbeat, fast-paced tekno on the map. The man who, in the mid-2000s, introduced old-school gabbers to cheesy but brilliant happy hardcore (let’s please not get too caught up in pigeonholing people). He performed at Audio Active on several occasions. The good old days that Rave-O-Lution co-organised some raves with The Hague Terror Squad + P.L.U.R. His recording from PAARD can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/rave-o-lution-nl/mat-weasel-audio-active-xxl-12-03-2010?in=rave-o-lution-nl/sets/treasure-chest BUT, he also performed at a small edition of Audio Active. That was on the evening before St Nicholas’ Day in 2009. We were at Musicon, a small pop venue in The Hague South-West. It was quite an intimate setting, but he gave it his all – he really went for it! Mat, thanks for all the lovely memories. REST IN POWER!

    Reflect @ Hardwired meets Loophole 03-10-2025 - Willemeen - Arnhem - NL

For the first time, Hardwired x Loophole organised a rave together. Willemeen Arnhem was the place to be. The opener of the evening, Reflect, is the man behind Raw Material and RFLCT. Pure techno is what this man is all about. On 3 October, he lived up to Loophole's motto: it's all rave! Old techno, dirty acid, tekno and stray gabber in the mix.
