10/10 Star Wars Launch — Most of the Team Was Unpaid

Star Wars Zero Company launched as the best-reviewed Star Wars game in 22 years and a Steam top seller. Same week, reporting said most of Bit Reactor was furloughed — still “employed,” not paid — skeleton crew left for bugs. On this episode of The Konshu Show: the praise machine, what furlough actually means, and why celebrating “the team” while the team is unpaid is the real story. The AI Debate: Artists vs AI Creators

In this episode, we dive deep into the heated AI vs. Artists debate that's dividing the creative world right now.Artists are furious about tools like Grok and Nano Banana generating art in seconds, often trained on their work without consent. Many feel their styles are being stolen and their income is disappearing. On the other side, supporters argue AI isn't replacing artists, it's a powerful tool that speeds up the boring, repetitive parts of the job so creators can focus on what really matters: emotion, storytelling, and vision. We also look at real evidence: A Stanford study from May 2025 found that when generative AI entered an online art marketplace, it was mostly lower-quality and less-established artists who left the platform, while higher-quality artists tended to stay and adapt.Beyond art, we explore AI’s massive impact in medicine, from improving breast cancer detection by 17.6% in a study of 463,000 women, to cutting drug discovery timelines by 30–40%, and helping radiologists reduce their workload by up to 88%.My take? Artists and AI are not enemies. Both bring value. The future isn’t about choosing sides, it’s about using AI as a helpful assistant while humans keep the heart and soul of creativity.

    Why Does Tech Feel Broken?

What's up gamers? Today on The Konshu Show, we tackle a big question: why does it feel like everything is just getting worse, especially with our tech? We dive into concepts like "planned obsolescence" and "built in obsolescence," exploring how products might be designed to fail sooner than they should. This leads us to discuss the "right to repair act" and the broader implications of "designed obsolescence" on consumers and the environment.
