I am one of the old Stone Church “Morrissey was a god there” regulars - occasionally even chatted with Bill about General Hospital between sets - so I was very excited to come across this podcast, hoping for insights into the man and his music. And maybe those insights are there. Unfortunately I’ll never know because the sound quality is atrocious. Frequently I can’t make out at all what the men being interviewed are saying. The interviewer rarely has any meaningful follow-up questions, mostly limiting his comments to “interesting”, “fascinating”, “oh, wow”, and “that makes sense”.
A few years back there was an indifferent biography of Bill Hicks published. I remember thinking at the time, a better one will be written one day and in the meantime I’ll just listen to the albums. I found myself feeling the same way after listening to this podcast.
