For this special episode, I challenge false/misguided narratives in sports, including how the Chiefs could've been ripped had they lost the Super Bowl, why Dan Campbell & the Lions scorn for being so aggressive in the NFC title game was misplaced blame, plus more NFL discussion! Other narratives include "who really was to blame for the Blue Jays playoff debacle", double standards in Lebron James' career, and revisionist history over the supposed 'rigged' Vegas Golden Knights NHL expansion draft... It wouldn't be a pod without some rants, which including too many athletes being labelled 'The GOAT' and why it's called 'offside' and not 'offsides' in football! Plus, there's an epic blooper at the end!

I break down what the 'Hawks need to do this offseason, prognosticate that Jamal Adams, Will Dissly & Quandre Diggs will get cut (spoiler alert: I was right!) plus what has to happen in free agency & the draft, along with disputing false narratives surrounding the club. A pod wouldn't complete without an awkward faux pas by yours truly, plus a fun blooper with all the incessant (good word) talking in this Seahawk Talk episode! MMMBANG!

We then delve into the massive contract given to Maple Leafs William Nylander, why Mitch Marner gets so much scorn, along with the chances his Detroit Lions might make a deep playoff run, or if they'll fall apart... For this Christmas special, I'm joined by past guest & work colleague Kristen Murphy! We describe the bitter anguish & despair upon hearing Shohei Ohtani wouldn't be joining the Blue Jays, along with trying to have perspective that this team still can compete to win a World Series, even though Jays fans drive us nuts with their pessimism! We recap the wild golf season of 2023 that saw Canadian Nick Taylor end a 69-year drought for Canadians at the RBC Canadian Open in dramatic fashion (along with the EPIC radio call from Mark Zecchino), discuss the emotional stories behind champions this season & she has self proclaimed dramatic comments about Jon Rahm leaving for LIV golf! We also obviously had to talk Tiger Woods' resurgence and set realistic expectations for him in 2024, and I offer up a plausible reason how he could win a major championship again...after he turns 50 years old. Additionally, we take past guest and fellow 'Golf Talk Canada' host Adam Scully to task for his ludicrous takes on Tiger's outfits!
