I was at my own personal rock bottom not too long ago. Times were tough. I had to pawn my full sized Obama LEGO set to afford rent, and I felt so alone. I couldn’t connect with anything. Food lost its taste. I watched all of my movies in black and white and muted with subtitles. Things I loved before felt empty. Then came this. This podcast. This one singular podcast by some of the most charismatic and intelligent people I’ve ever heard in my entire life. The deep introspection of the themes of this classic cartoon was both enlightening and humbling. I laughed and cried, often at the same time. I feel like a completely different person now. I look back on my life before this podcast and think, how could I have ever lived like that? Why would I torture myself?
Why are we put on this earth? Just to suffer?
No. We are put here to discuss the social commentary and political critiques shown in Spongebob Squarepants. Thousands of years of evolution has led to this moment. Wars have been waged in the name of countless gods and kings. All of our developments in language, communication, and technology has led to podcasting and television. Combining both of these into an intricate concoction of entertainment was a genius move made by people whom have my highest respects. I trust these people to lead our country into utopia forever until the end of time.
My deepest and most sincere gratitude to you all. Thank you.
