Achievement Couldn't Carry Me: Hyper-Independence, Motherhood, Faith & Healing Childhood Wounds

What happens when you achieve what you thought would make you feel successful and you're still exhausted? In this episode, I explore how growing up with conditional love shaped my identity, fueled hyper-independence, and led me to chase achievement as a measure of worth. Despite reaching goals I once believed would bring fulfillment, I found myself confronting a deeper question: Was I actually living, or was I simply surviving? Through motherhood, faith, and personal reflection, I began reexamining everything I believed about success, rest, identity, and God. This conversation explores: • Hyper-independence and self-reliance • Childhood trauma and emotional wounds • Achievement, perfectionism, and burnout • The identity shift that comes with motherhood • Healing from performance-based worth • Faith, religious hurt, and rediscovering God's character • Breaking generational patterns • Learning how to rest, heal, and live authentically If you're navigating burnout, healing from childhood wounds, questioning old beliefs, or learning to embrace a healthier version of success, this episode is for you. Keywords: hyper-independence, childhood trauma healing, Christian faith, motherhood, generational healing, burnout recovery, self-worth, people pleasing, personal growth, emotional healing, survival mode, identity in Christ, healing from toxic family dynamics, and breaking generational cycles.

How Motherhood Changed Me: Creativity, Career Growth, Purpose & Finding Yourself Again

In this episode, I'm sharing my personal journey through motherhood, identity shifts, creativity, career growth, and finding myself again after becoming a mom. Why You Shouldn't Ask Couples This Topics: Babies Edition

So your inlaws keep pestering you about grandbabies. Now what?? Children are a blessing, and because of this, parenthood should not be a decision made on an impulse. In this episode, we talk about things not to ask married couples, such as, "when are you having children?" and "how many children are you having?". These questions should be between a husband, wife, God, and their doctor. As much as everyone means well, this boundary should not be crossed unless the couple first initiates the topic. In the season of waiting, pray for your children and know that though they're not physically with you, they're already in existence with God who lives outside of time.  *If the Holy Spirit moves you to do so, I would love for you to give us a rating!* --------------------------------------------- For my coffee lovers, I have a 10% discount for you with code elisetdlove Follow this link to support a wonderful nonprofit doing great things! --------------------------------------------- Thank you for tuning in and listening!
