Both David and Dan lament the Game 3 loss and all the chances the Twins had to win it before the Tigers did. David is happy to see Derek Shelton doing everything he can to win games; Dan likes what he sees when Kody Clemens hits a home run. They are perplexed as to how the Twins will explain not calling up Walker Jenkins earlier, and they both are excited about what the future holds for this team as they hope for baseball in 2027.     No Juice to Stand On (White Sox Series Recap, 8/28-8/30)

"The Chaos" Andrew "Hoges" Hoganson fills in for Dan and the boys try and keep their spirits high feeling that the postseason chances are slipping away from the Twins. Hoges is pumped about Walker Jenkins MLB debut, and David relishes Luke Keaschall's stellar series performance. David gives his plug for the Minnesota State Fair, while Hoges tries to start an international conflict.     This is Where it Hurts (Twins-Athletics Series Recap, 8/24-8/26)

    Send us Fan Mail Much to the disappointment of David and Dan, and most certainly the Minnesota Twins as well, the Twins lose two of three in Sacramento to the Athletics, the team with the worst record in the American League. And to make it worse, Byron Buxton has aggravated his hip injury. David analyzes that play and worries that Luke Keaschall may not be up to the task of playing center field. Dan is curious if Derek Shelton has a little Herb Brooks in him, and David delves again into the murky waters of Walker Jenkins' call-up status. David got the result he expected, though he and Dan hoped for better in Game 2. Dan has questions for Derek Shelton about his pitching choices in Game 1, but David defends the manager's work in Game 2. David has yet to hear a good argument about when it's OK to change your fandom, though Dan sees a way to make it legitimate.     Send us Fan Mail After looking as if they might salvage a victory in this three-game series, the Minnesota Twins get swept by the Philadelphia Phillies: one game in Iowa and two more at Target Field. David, who was in Iowa for its state fair, sees the Minnesota State Fair as far better than what Iowa offered. Dan is convinced that he must make a trip to the Field of Dreams at some point, even if the Twins aren't playing there. Both of them are still hopeful about the Twins' chances considering the schedule ahead, and they are curious to see who gets called up to take Austin Martin's spot after the outfielder injured his hamstring on Sunday.
