The land of Fenrayne has been on the brink of doom for years. Necromancers and the dead are rising on the edges of society, threatening life and peace across the land. Deep in the shadows, others try to unearth secret knowledge and unspeakable power.
The Otherplace is a fantasy RPG podcast played using the Genesys system by Fantasy Flight Games. In this anthology podcast, we follow a new set of adventurers each season as they travel the land of Fenrayne, fight the Dead, and uncover the mysteries of the world.

RPG “school”
Talented and gentle GM leads 3 opinionated novices through a nuanced RPG world. The plot progresses slowly at times as the players role play and figure out the game. Bravo. Good production values

Maybe I'll listen to just one more...
Started yesterday hoping to get a feel for the show. I'm 6 episodes in and every time I finish one I decide to go ahead and listen to another one. Great cast, cool story, really enjoying this show a lot.
A whole new world!
Action! Adventure! Animation of the dead?! But with walking talking animal-folk?! Is this a trip into Neverneverland? A trudge through the Wardrobe into a C.S.Lewis novel? Or maybe a trip to Redwall? All these thought went through my mind as I was whisked away with the opening intro of the story to the Isle of Volk where we meet a trio of folk a soft spoken human, a stern eyed bird folk and dashing feline folk on a ship crewed by fish folk?! The trio are on a mission to protect the village from the dead that may come back to the land of the living?
If you are looking for a unique story in a whole new world then come listen to The Otherplace! I was hooked from the moment I that Night Cast Creative started a new actual play rpg podcast using the FFG narrative dice system, it’s primo for storytelling and the GM’s are maestros, not just in storytelling And world building but music, as they write and compose their own music to accompany their fanciful Scooby-Doo-esque escapade!
