    Episode 1: What About Career Changes?

    Welcome to the very first episode titled: "What About Career Changes?" Join me, Shelly, OTR/L, as I chat with a long-time friend, Alvin, about career changes, fear of change, resilience development, and courage. During my first 2 years as a new OT, I've found myself switching OT settings and environments over and over again. To date, I have worked in 7 different places and 4 different OT settings! (i.e. SNFs, adult day center, online therapy, inpatient psych).  Similarly, Alvin has experienced changes in his careers as well. He has found himself learning skills from 3 different career settings, from optometry to software engineer to a UX designer.  What causes career changes? What is it like to switch careers and start over? How do we overcome the fear of change, and what have we learned from these experiences? Hope you enjoy listening!
