    Shaquila Myers is a seasoned public servant with over two decades of experience in Michigan state politics. Currently serving as Chief of Staff to Speaker Joe Tate, she has held key roles including senior advisor to Governor Whitmer and chief of staff to Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist II. Myers played a crucial role in securing an economic development funding package, resulting in a significant investment from General Motors. Her extensive legislative experience includes crafting initiatives to improve broadband access and reform the criminal justice system. Known for her expertise and respect across party lines, she has worked on all aspects of the legislative process. Before her political career, Myers engaged in community work focused on issues such as HIV transmission reduction.
