019 How to Manage Your Mental Health with Lade Olugbemi, NOUS

The incidence of mental health issues in the UK is rising incredibly especially among women and young people since the unset of the COVID-19 pandemic. We've now been staying at home for 4-8 weeks and many people have gone through a lot of anxiety stress and fear. Many people are scared of you leaving their houses. Some are scared of talking to people who come to their doors such as postmen. While others are meticulous about cleaning their hands, door handles and so on.  There are people who are sick at home but are too scared to go to the hospital because they don't know what they're going to expect when they get there. With the announcement yesterday that we are now all to go back to work if we can this has increased the level of anxiety in the society even more. Fortunately, I was able to interview a mental health practitioner, Lade Olugbemi the Founder of Nous who was happy to take us through steps to take in order to safeguard our mental health. For more information about mental health issues or to connect with Lade go to https://nousorganisation.com / info@nousorganisation.com To have an idea of all the things I do follow Morin Okenla on: I'm a coach and mentor, a writer, artist and designer who loves helping women to start scale-up and monetize their business doing what they love. Exercise Ideas while under LOCKDOWN - SURVIVAL TIPS

As women we are often busy doing one thing or the other. As entrepreneurs especially we have even more to do. We keep active and run around all day long. We run to catch the bus or train. We stand for hours waiting for transport. Even while at work we are often going about from one office to the other. When we get home the pattern continues until we go to bed. But with life under lockdown, we are indoors more, stationary more and women are complaining of back aches, headaches and stiff muscles and joints. These maladies are not good for us as business women or for women working from home under these new conditions. Our efficiency reduces and we are achieving less.  So how can we reduce these discomforts in our bodies and become happier and more effective at home under lockdown? In this episode, I share tips and ideas on how we can stay flexible and strong physically during this lockdown. Hope you enjoy it.
