For this episode, Natalie has a conversation with the one and only, Dr. "ET" Edith Treviño. Dr. ET was born and raised in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. She learned English when she was 7 years old. For many years she was a transnational student, as she crossed the border daily for school. She fell through the cracks and failed high school. Higher education was not in the plans for her and she joined the U.S. Army Reserves to give back to the USA for taking them in as immigrants. As a soldier in basic training she had an epiphany moment. Her life goals, and the trajectory of her life changed.
