NOT BY SIGHT with Deborah Stuart

Deborah Stuart

Welcome to Not by Sight: Faith in the Valley! In 2020, I felt God calling me to start a podcast - a place where He was asking me to “proclaim what the Lord has done” (Psalm 118:17b), and where others could proclaim what He has done in their lives, too. That verse became my starting point because it was the scripture that carried me as my shield and refuge while I fought cancer for a second time in 2015. (You can hear my full story in Season 1, Episode 1. This theme of walking by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) runs throughout the lives of people in the Bible, and it runs through our lives too. Most of us have at least one story where we’ve had to exercise faith in the middle of crisis, with no idea how things would turn out. It’s in those places that faith becomes real - or where we walk away from it altogether. This podcast is about pressing into Jesus in the middle of uncertainty. You’ll hear stories from people who chose to trust the Lord when life threw them a curveball, when hope was all they had left. It’s choosing faith in the valley.

PODCAST RELAUNCH! "A Life Surrendered" Season 2/Episode 1 Guest: Andrea Kaiser

Welcome to Season 2 of Not by Sight: Faith in the Valley! If you’re new here - welcome! Since it’s been a few years since my last episode, I want to re-introduce myself. On this episode, I sit down again with one of my spiritual heroes, Andrea Kaiser. She and her husband, Daniel, are missionaries in Jinja, Uganda, where their mission is to restore families through the power of the gospel. Andrea was orphaned at 14, after surviving the car crash that killed her parents and older sister. (If you haven’t heard her story yet, go back to Season 1, Episode 13 - it’s powerful.) God is using her surrendered, compassionate heart to reach others in the slums of Jinja and beyond. To support Andrea’s organization visit: https://riversofjoyafrica.org
