    Episode 9 - Remakes (Suspiria)

    Love witches, covens and crazy soundtracks? Love bright and colourful buildings and set designs then....one of these will be for you... Today we look at one of our all time favourite films and its recent 2018 remake. First made in 1977 by Dario Argento and musically scored by Goblin, then a few years ago remade by Luca Guadagnino and scored by Thom Yorke.

    Episode 7: British Comedy Horror (Edgar Wright)

    When people ask you what is the best comedy horror film there will always be someone who mentions Shaun of the Dead (and rightfully so) so today we are taking a dive and talking about two great films both by Edgar Wright which work perfect as a comedy horror double feature!!

This week we have been re-watching two films very close to our heart, two beautiful pieces of film by Robert Eggers. First we will talk about 2015's the VVitch and his progress onto 2019 beautiful piece of film The Lighthouse.

    Episode 6: Quarantine Film Catch Up

    As everyone is stuck at home during quarantine we've all had similar idea's of binging tv and films and we have absolutely done the same. We have spent almost everyday in quarantine together watching at least one film a day and by doing this we have finally managed to catch up on films from 2019 and 2020 so far. So today's episode is just a fun laid back catch up of some of the best and worst films we have caught up on so far!

This is the second week of this double feature and we are still looking at some modern fresh takes, which helped revive the Zombie genre in the past 20 years. This week we discuss the incredible Korean horror film Train to Busan by Yeon Sang-ho and how that helped influence the horror and zombie genre to follow.

This week we discuss the incredible British horror that is 28 Days Later by Danny Boyle and how that helped influence the horror to follow.

    Are you a fan of surrealist body horror? I know we are!  Listen to us talk about two of our favourite films to make you feel ill and give you nightmares in fields of metal and industrial wastelands. This week we talk about the brilliant Eraserhead by David Lynch and Tetsuo: The Iron Man by Shinya Tsukamoto and what these films brought to body horror and surrealist film.
