    Day 28 - A Dark Cloud

Today I discussed the criminal Hilco Redevelopment Partners' smokestack implosion this morning in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood, and how leadership is responsible for the subsequent dust cloud (which will no doubt impact the health of residents during the coronavirus pandemic). Please also check out my blog "Day 15" at: shanaeast.com/blog

Day 24 - Bye Bye Bernie

On my 24th day of sheltering-in-place, we talk about the Bernie movement and hear from supporters responding to Sen. Sanders' decision to drop out of the presidential race today (you can leave me a message too at: anchor.fm/theshanaeast). Please also check out my blog "Day 15" at: shanaeast.com/blog

Day 23 - Lives in Jeopardy

On my 23rd day of sheltering-in-place, I talk about: the shameful voter suppression taking place in Wisconsin today; the imprisoned folks at Cook County Jail whose lives are in jeopardy as COVID-19 cases rise; I shared a call-in recording from listener Mark S. (a rideshare driver in Chicago) on how he is being impacted by the pandemic; and discussed how you can share your story to be featured on a later podcast (go to: anchor.fm/theshanaeast and click the "Message" button). DAY 20 - Share Your Story!

Just checking out this new podcast platform, to see if it might be a good addition to my new blog "DAY 15" (which you can check out at: shanaeast.com/blog/). I have mostly been using the blog to process my own thoughts and experiences in relation to this crisis, but I also want to hear from you! If you have been impacted by COVID-19: contracted the virus, lost your job and/or healthcare, don't have proper PPE, can't vote (or are afraid to) -ANYTHING- please leave me a message via this podcast page. I want to explore compiling these stories in some way in the near future. Look forward to hearing from you!
