AI as a Mirror: Consciousness, Human Evolution & Staying Sovereign | Teresa Escrig

Episode #149 - What if artificial intelligence isn't only changing the world around us, but also giving us a new way to understand the world within us? In this episode of The Awakened Heart Podcast, I sit down with AI scientist, entrepreneur, author, and spiritual seeker Dr. Teresa Escrig for a fascinating conversation about the intersection of artificial intelligence and human consciousness. Teresa brings an unusual perspective to this conversation. She has spent more than three decades immersed in artificial intelligence, from academic research in symbolic AI and robotics to responsible AI work with major global organizations. But at age 25, a spontaneous out-of-body experience opened the door to an equally deep exploration of spirituality and consciousness. Together, we explore Teresa's belief that AI can act as a mirror, reflecting our internal states back to us through language and helping us recognize patterns, beliefs, and distortions we may not otherwise see. But this isn't a conversation about handing our power over to technology. It's about doing the opposite. We talk about why inner sovereignty, discernment, intention, and self-awareness become even more important as AI becomes increasingly woven into our lives. Teresa explains why the quality of what we bring to AI matters, how conscious prompting can change our interactions with it, and why she believes AI may actually accelerate aspects of human and spiritual evolution. We also get into the harder questions: manipulation and control, relationships, education, creativity, fear of the unknown, and what happens when we allow technology to become an authority rather than a tool. One of my favorite ideas from our conversation is Teresa's reminder that we need to remain the captain of our own AI journey. Because perhaps the question isn't simply What will AI become? It's Who will we choose to become alongside it? In this episode, we explore: AI as a mirror for our internal states and patternsTeresa's spontaneous out-of-body experience and spiritual awakeningHer journey from traditional AI research to exploring consciousness and technologyHow intentional prompting changes our relationship with AIWhether AI can accelerate personal and spiritual growthUsing AI to recognize patterns and distortions in ourselvesThe effect AI may have on relationships and communicationFear, manipulation, control, and the potential risks of AIWhy inner sovereignty and discernment matter more than everAI's impact on education, creativity, and the next generationHow to work with AI without surrendering our own inner authorityWhat human evolution might look like as AI continues to advance A few moments that stayed with me: “AI reflects the inner state through language.” “The ultimate human fear is the unknown.” “You are the captain of your AI journey.” That last one really captures this conversation for me. AI may be an incredibly powerful tool, but we still choose who is steering. Beyond Spiritual Awakening: Quantum Healing, Trauma & Higher Consciousness | Darren Starwynn

Episode #148 - What if healing isn't about fixing what's broken, but remembering the wholeness that's already within you? In this episode of The Awakened Heart Podcast, I sit down with Darren Starwynn, O.M.D., a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, quantum healer and coach, inventor, author, and teacher with more than 30 years of experience bridging energy medicine, consciousness, spirituality, and transformational healing. Darren shares his fascinating journey from sensing a greater reality as a child to studying Chinese medicine, developing the FDA-cleared Acutron microcurrent device, and eventually experiencing a profound spiritual transformation that changed the direction of his healing work. Together, we explore why healing techniques alone may not create lasting transformation, the difference between spiritual awakening and deep healing, and how trauma, ancestral patterns, beliefs, and our own perception can influence the lives we experience. We also dive into Avatar  Consciousness, Christ Consciousness, the higher self, trust and surrender, and what Darren believes may be happening as humanity moves through a turbulent period of collective change. And rather than simply talking about quantum healing, Darren guides me through a quantum healing experience during the episode. IN THIS EPISODE: • What healing really means — and why Darren describes it as becoming more whole• Why spiritual awakening doesn't automatically heal our wounds• Darren's journey from energy medicine and healing technology into consciousness work• The limitations of relying solely on healing tools and techniques• Trauma, ancestral patterns, past experiences, and the burdens we carry• Avatar Consciousness and reconnecting with the higher self• Darren's experience of Christ Consciousness and spiritual guidance• Why trust and surrender can be essential parts of healing• Quantum healing and working beyond the physical body• The overwhelm and uncertainty many people are experiencing in the world today• Recognizing and developing the innate potential within ourselves• Why community and shared consciousness matter• What it means to live with an awakened heart through love and compassion Darren's work offers a reminder that healing isn't necessarily about becoming someone new. Sometimes it's about releasing what we've accumulated along the way so we can reconnect with who we already are. Are EMFs Affecting Your Energy? Exploring Light, Frequency & the Nervous System with Dan Stachofsky

Episode #147 - We live surrounded by Wi-Fi, cell phones, Bluetooth, smart devices, and an ever-growing amount of technology. But how often do we stop to consider how our electromagnetic environment may be interacting with our bodies? In this episode of The Awakened Heart Podcast, I sit down with former tech executive Dan Stachofsky for a fascinating conversation about EMFs, light, biophotons, cellular communication, and the nervous system. Dan spent years helping Fortune 100 companies including Microsoft and Amazon manage digital infrastructure during the early rise of cloud computing and AI. His path eventually shifted dramatically after his daughter Jane experienced a chronic immune disorder, leading him to explore approaches outside conventional medicine and ultimately into the world of light, energy, and electromagnetic environments. Today, he leads Essential Energy, a nonprofit focused on EMF-conditioning technology. We explore what EMFs actually are, how Dan believes they interact with the nervous system, the role light plays in mitochondrial energy and cellular communication, and why he believes the conversation needs to move beyond simply “blocking” EMFs toward creating a more harmonious energetic environment. We also talk about skepticism, how to evaluate the growing number of EMF products and claims, and the bigger question underneath it all: Are we becoming more technologically connected while becoming increasingly disconnected from our own biology? In this episode, we explore: Dan’s journey from Big Tech into the world of energy and wellnessWhy he describes light as an essential source of energy for lifeEMFs and the nervous systemBiophotons and cellular communicationMitochondrial energy and the role of lightWhat “resonant biophotonic harmonics” meansWhy Dan advocates conditioning or harmonizing electromagnetic environments rather than simply blocking EMFsHow to approach EMF claims and products with discernmentThe personal story of Dan’s daughter Jane and how it ultimately shaped his missionTechnology, nature, energetic balance, and where we may be headed as a society Dan’s media kit also cites research and biofeedback testing related to the technology, along with use or endorsements from several integrative-health figures. From Trauma to Transformation: The Science of Gratitude, Love & Emotional Healing | Thayne Martin

Ep #146 - In this episode of The Awakened Heart Podcast, I sit down with Thayne Martin for a powerful conversation about emotional healing, gratitude, neuroscience, unconditional love, and the journey from surviving trauma to creating a life of greater peace, connection, and purpose. Thayne’s life story is extraordinary. After experiencing profound childhood trauma, living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, struggling with addiction, and surviving multiple near-death experiences, he began a deeply personal journey of healing and self-discovery.  Through that process, he developed a new understanding of how our subconscious beliefs, emotional patterns, and life experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Together, we explore how gratitude can become much more than a positive thought or daily checklist.  Thayne shares the neuroscience behind gratitude, love, emotional balance, and human connection - and explains how intentional experiences may help us shift deeply rooted beliefs and create meaningful change from within. We also talk about the neurochemicals connected to love and bonding, including oxytocin, dopamine, and vasopressin; the influence of media and subconscious programming; healing generational and ancestral patterns; heart-brain coherence; shadow work; spiritual awakening; and the importance of becoming aware of the emotional energy we bring into our everyday lives. Thayne also shares practical tools, including his “gratitude cocktail,” gratitude bracelet, gratitude sandwich protocol, and simple ways we can create meaningful moments of connection, even with complete strangers. One of the messages that stayed with me most from this conversation is that love and connection are what truly matter. When we begin changing what is happening within us, those changes naturally ripple outward into our relationships, communities, and the world around us. If you’ve been feeling emotionally stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or ready to create a deeper sense of inner peace, I hope this conversation reminds you that healing is possible, and that small, intentional moments of gratitude, kindness, awareness, and genuine connection can have a much greater impact than we realize. In this episode, we explore: Thayne’s journey through childhood trauma, DID, addiction, and healingHow his near-death experiences changed his understanding of life and connectionThe relationship between neuroscience, gratitude, love, and emotional healingHow subconscious beliefs influence our emotions and behaviorThe “gratitude cocktail” and the brain chemistry connected to gratitudePractical ways to create authentic moments of connection with strangersOxytocin, dopamine, vasopressin, and emotional balanceHow experiential learning may help shift deeply rooted patternsHeart-brain coherence and awarenessShadow work, epigenetics, and ancestral traumaThe influence of media and subconscious programmingSpiritual awakening, consciousness, abundance, and inner peaceWhat it truly means to live with an awakened heart  Sound bites "We could add a podcast before the podcast." Ep #144 - In this episode of The Awakened Heart Podcast, I sit down with Dr. Diana Driscoll - optometrist, inventor, and leading expert in the autonomic nervous system and “invisible illnesses” such as POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), vagus nerve dysfunction, chronic inflammation, and post-viral conditions.  After her own battle with POTS, Dr. Driscoll spent over a decade researching the root causes behind symptoms that are often dismissed or misunderstood, becoming known as “the patient’s researcher.” Together, we explore how the nervous system impacts everything from fatigue and brain fog to digestion and emotional regulation, and why so many people feel something is off in their body but can’t find clear answers.  This conversation also dives into the concept of “inflammaging,” the connection between chronic inflammation and long-term health, and what you can begin doing today to support your nervous system and stay sharp, resilient, and energized as you age. If you’re on a path of healing, self-discovery, or navigating symptoms that don’t quite fit into a traditional diagnosis, this episode offers both insight and practical guidance to help you better understand your body and take your health into your own hands.
