Episode 07 - Intro to Human Performance Technology

Human Performance Technology is the foundation of everything FourLeaf Leadership does - from how we coach, how we train, and how we show up in the world. In this episode, we'll introduce the listener (You!) to HPT through the audio of our Intro to HPT video, available at www.fourleafleadership.com

Episode 06 - Is anyone paying attention to anything I do?

Our third and final segment on accountability - we never want our employees to wonder if anyone is paying attention to them. We also never want to them to believe we ONLY notice when they don't meet expectations! In this episode, we'll discuss ways to effectively praise our team for a job well done, how OFTEN we should extend that praise, and why expectations not being met shouldn't immediately result in someone getting fired.  (Full disclosure, sometimes letting someone go is necessary. We know that. We are choosing to focus on what we can do to prevent things from getting that far.)

    Episode 05 - What's Going On?

It doesn't feel good to be known as a "micro-manager" or hear that your employees feel you are breathing down their necks. It also doesn't feel effective to wonder what on EARTH is going on with your team! In this episode, we'll talk about how to observe whether or not expectations are being met WITHOUT being invasive. You'll never wonder what's going on again!

Episode 4 - Why Won't Anyone Listen to Me?

Have you ever felt like no one is listening when you give directions?  Are you struggling with maintaining your values as a leader while also getting results?  In episodes 4, 5, and 6 we will be diving into the concept of ACCOUNTABILITY.  We start by Setting Expectations.  Happy Learning!

Episode 3 - Why am I so tired?!

It's the end of the day.  You're exhausted.  You look back on what you've accomplished and wonder: "How am I this tired when I feel like I got so little accomplished?" A lot of that feeling depends on how much emotional labor you're spending throughout the day. Listen to learn what emotional labor is, how to gauge it, and how to use less and have more energy for the things you truly enjoy! (And even for the things you don't!)

Episode 2 - What motivates you?

Can you answer this question confidently?  Most of the leaders I've coached THINK they can, until they learn about the three intrinsic motivations. With this new vocabulary, it's like a whole new world of getting motivated! How can we leverage the motivators and demotivators of autonomy, mastery, and purpose to inspire drive in ourselves and others? Take a listen to find out!

Episode 1 - Why are you a leader?

At FourLeaf Leadership, we don't leave success to luck. We focus on accountability, resources and tools, training, and your WHY to get you the results you deserve!  In our first episode, we'll be asking you some deep questions to get into your leadership mindset. This is the place you will want to be whenever you are leading or learning about leading. In order to know where we are going, we need to know where we are! Consider this your starting point.  Are you ready? Let's go! Questions in Episode 1: Why are you a leader?  Note: May vary slightly from actual podcast recording. How did you get where you are today? What does leadership look and sound like to you? Where are you a leader in your life right now? What kind of leader do you aspire to be? In what ways are you already like those leaders? How would you like to be MORE like those leaders? How will you know this journey was a successful one?
