Jen- this is my third review; I’m not in your Patreon anymore, but I know you read your reviews so I wanted to tell you that (in part) because of your testimony my family and I are coming into the Catholic Church after a lifetime of Protestantism. I think we will be able to receive the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist around Easter after we complete OCIA. I am praying for you not only as a listener, but as a Sister in this family. We love you and know there will be extra jewels in your crown for how you have witnessed for Him, especially during this time.

I came here to leave a review (finally) after the last few episodes of Jen absolutely crushing it and speaking truth so hard that I couldn’t resist. Unfortunately, I’ve been listening to Jen so long now that this doesn’t count as a “new” review, but hopefully it persuades a potential new listener to give this podcast a try. You’ll fall in love with Jen- she’s hilarious, awkwardly relatable, and clever enough to challenge paradigms without being pretentious. As a mom of 4 (six and under) I feel the #villagehustle vibes, and Jen’s show is my go-to for my Wednesday afternoon runs or days where I just want to quit.
Jen- your Villian Era is the best yet, and I’m there with you. Pong on, my friend.
My review from 2016ish?:
I started off listening to Jen with the episode “Are You a Driver or a Nester” and when she got to the part where she played the corresponding “soundtrack” for the driver vs the nester I was in tears through gut-busting laughter. So much truth there, and I love how real Jen is in her other episodes when it comes to talking about mom life and just life in general. Jen- keep up the good work. There are a lot of us Christian mothers that actually have a love for blunt honesty and humor and we (I) appreciate what you’re doing here. “Mainstream” Christian mom podcasts tend to focus more on applying the gospel to our lives (which is great), but being able to talk about real life and underlying principles in a tangible and humorous way is so refreshing.
