With an impressive track record spanning nearly a decade, MLI has cultivated specialized expertise in crafting innovative, data-backed solutions that redefine the utilization of these waste materials. I met Shubhi a few years ago when I was running Fairtrunk, and her dedication to viewing waste as a valuable resource has continued to inspire me ever since. Over the years, we've turned out to be friends who often catch up to share/vent out our eco-anxiety. Though we recorded this episode last year, for whatever reasons, it never made it to the podcast. Today happens to be Shubhi's birthday and I'm presenting this conversation as a gift to Ethically Yours' audience. I hope you feel equally inspired by her work.

    India Ranks 7th in Global Climate Risk Index 2021 published by the Bonn-based environmental think tank Germanwatch. According to the Index, floods caused by heavy rain in 2019 took 1,800 lives across 14 states in India and displaced 1.8 million people. Overall, the intense monsoon season affected 11.8 million people, with the economic damage estimated to be $10 billion. India is also home to 21 of the world’s 30 most polluted cities, with 122 non-attainment cities exceeding national ambient air quality standards. Besides affecting the health of the citizens, air pollution also impacts agriculture, climate, buildings, and aesthetics, in terms of visibility. CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL AND IT IS HAPPENING AS WE SPEAK.
