    Living, Breathing Love

After a brief break, we are back with a really vulnerable episode. Parent-child love, partner love, friend love... it's all messy sometimes. How can we provide unconditional love to our children? What does it look like when the child reciprocates it back to the unconditionally loving parent? In this episode, we get into some of our story. We hope you can learn something. Thanks for listening!

    Heart Guided Journeying

As always, we meander through our topic... careers! We talk about how we've walked similar paths rooted in experience versus degree paths. We come to the place of acknowledging that there are many different paths that lead to the same place, so long as you follow your gut feelings, intuition and heart. Whenever you're building something from the ground up there will be peaks and valleys... it's all a part of the journey. You can find Meredith on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/tarotwithtux/?hl=en or email us at guidanceformovement@gmail.com. Take some action this week. We have to be the change we want to see in the world, right? Is there a missing piece in your community?

A Pisces and a Scorpio Walk Into a Bar

(edit: I definitely say Susan Coleman Smith instead of Pamela Coleman Smith - PAMELA is the artist of the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck)... In this episode, I give a very general overview of all things tarot, astrology and meditation. We mention how the universe can show you signs if you're open to it. If you listen to the end you get to hear Brian realize he already has his own form of meditation. Side note: our show is not one based on current events so we don't mention the newsworthy current state of the world. As always, we both want everyone to err on the side of being a good human. Do things that resonate with your soul. I am going to link my Instagram where you can find important links to donate or educate yourself in my bio - https://www.instagram.com/tarotwithtux/. I am also offering readings with a special emphasis on today's current events (info on Instagram). You can email us at guidanceformovement@gmail.com. Until next time... keep an open mind and an open heart. Listen to someone talk about their life experiences. I guarantee you'll learn something. • Kitchen Table Tarot by Melissa Cynova is one of the books I recommend to all people wanting to start to learn tarot. There are so many incredible options out there... Find what resonates for you. Don't feel like you have to start with the Rider Waite Smith deck if you don't like the imagery. It is all white and incredibly gendered. Feel free to connect with me on Instagram to talk about other options - there are so many decks and it's incredible. I also have my own Podcast where I talk to my magical friends... Mer's Net. Check it out. If ya want. Much love!

    Brain Age

This is our first episode we were able to record in person! We decided to record outside and hope you enjoy the sounds of nature behind us. We talk about the differences in generations and try not to make any harsh judgments, especially since none of us asked for the technology that may be (read: absolutely is) actively changing what it means to be human. We hope you enjoy! Please remember that if you leave a review for us on Apple Podcasts or your podcast app, you can send us a screenshot to guidanceformovement@gmail.com and Meredith would be glad to give you a tarot reading in exchange for your review. Otherwise, feel free to email us topic suggestions or connect with Meredith on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/tarotwithtux/. See y'all next week!

  5. 05/22/2020

    The Beehive Room

This week we talk about a family legacy... 6,000 babies?! Despite the memories and specific achievements of Brian's grandpa, we settle in on what it all boils down to: inclusive service to others, family and love. That's something I think we can all strive for.

  6. 05/16/2020

    Our Own Legacies

What will your legacy be? We talk about the idea that the memories of the people that knew you are just as valid as the more traditional view of a legacy. While they can be donating millions of dollars to charity, legacies are also donating what you have and being what your friends and family need. You can email us at gudianceformovement@gmail.com and can reach Meredith on Instagram @tarotwithtux or email at tarotwithtux@gmail.com. As always, thank you for listening! We'll be back next week with examples of our family's legacies.

    Out of Bounds

No is a complete sentence... did you know that? Remember, if you leave a review for us and are interested in getting a tarot reading from Meredith in exchange, please screenshot your review and send it to Meredith. You can email us at guidanceformovement@gmail.com with questions, comments and topic suggestions. Feel free to reach out to Meredith via Instagram @tarotwithtux or email tarotwithtux@gmail.com.

    Laughter is... the Cure

Join us this week as we share some fond memories. If you stick around until after we sign off, you'll get to hear another sweet story we forgot to mention. If you leave a review for us and are interested in getting a tarot reading from Meredith in exchange, please screenshot the review and send it to Meredith. Untangling Grief

To grieve we must first have loved... and that's something to celebrate. This is one of those topics that is hard to cover in one episode...but we tried. Brian mentions a book that really helped him to shift his perspective on death and taught him how to work with the only option available sometimes, Option B: https://optionb.org/book. Meredith talks about the late Ram Dass. You can find more information about his life, legacy and teachings on the podcast Ram Dass: Here and Now or at https://www.ramdass.org/bio/. We'll be back next week with a lighter topic. Until next time, you can find me on Instagram @tarotwithtux or via email with your feedback, topic suggestions or the screenshot of your review at guidanceformovement@gmail.com. Thank you for listening!

    Emotional Dialysis

In our first official episode, we do what we do best: meander through different ways of exploring the same thread. We mostly talk about the end of duality, which is the need for things to be only "good" or only "bad". How can we hold space and validate the complex feelings that we must navigate as humans? We use Brian's health scare as a frame of reference for this idea. Please, if you are not already signed up to be an organ donor when you die, consider checking the box the next time you're at the DMV and register with Donate Life. You never know who your body might save once you're done with it. Donate Life is a great organization. You can find more information and register at https://www.donatelife.net/register/. Until next time, you can find me on Instagram @tarotwithtux or via email with your feedback, topic suggestions or the screenshot of your review at guidanceformovement@gmail.com. Thank you for listening!

Guidance for Movement is a passion project by a father daughter team. I will note that the music in the background was specifically for the intro and will not be on every episode.
