Finding Relisha

I desperately wanted to enjoy this because I’ve been following this case for years, but I couldn’t make it past the first episode. The word pacing was. At. A. Snails. Pace. It was very jarring.

It’s a no from me. “From the south” or not. There’s never a reason to “pop” a child and excuse it by calling it discipline. There’s far too much information on the horrors that Relisha and her siblings faced in their childhood to justify their mother’s actions. Spitting or not. I didn’t make it past that part in episode 1. The voice is also a lot to take in. Other podcasts did a better and more empathetic and accurate job telling this story.

Narrator needs improvement on pronunciation and enunciation. She’s basically reading old articles etc. and has mispronounced words in several episodes. Find something else to do. It’s good the Relisha Rudd disappearance is still being discussed though. 1 star is for the narrator not the subject matter.

This is 22 minutes of my life I will never get back. The flow is extra slow, the speaker sounds confused and uncertain of which words to use. The annunciation of the last letter of each word is extra annoying. I was really hoping to hear a good podcast about Relisha. Please don’t make anymore episodes.
