The Single Mom Reset - Reclaiming your time, energy and your peace

Hello, my Queens and welcome to another episode of X.S.M. (X and the Single Mom) Podcast!!  This episode is about "The Single Mom Summer Reset" time to reclaim some of your time, energy and your peace. Now, I know the word "reset" can make it sound as though you need a new planner, a perfect schedule, a clean house, a new body, and fifteen new goals. However, that is not what I mean. A reset can simply mean stopping long enough to ask yourself: What is working? What is draining me? What am I doing because it truly matters and what am I doing because I feel guilty, pressured, or afraid of disappointing somebody? Because the truth is, Queens, you can be busy all day and still feel as though you accomplished nothing for yourself. You can love your children deeply and still need quiet (meaning both things can be true at the same time) For another example, you can be grateful for your life and still admit that you are exhausted. And you can be a responsible mother without making yourself available to everybody, all the time.  Thank you for being part of this journey. If this episode speaks to you, share it with another mom who needs it. Follow the show: Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang It's Mr. Bo and Mr. Ro with Ms. Co on a "really good day, astrologically"! And that's that me nirvana! Fresh from being medically fingered on the upper west side, Catherine Cohen is BACK on the podcast to talk about her new Off-Bro show at the Lucille Lortel theater (so... Ms. Lo, we guess!) It's called Broad Strokes and you can go see it now until September 5th! The three old pals reminisce and conspire for a Seek Culture reunion, discuss pelvic floor dysfunction, and look back fondly on their most memorable fingerbangs. Also, "Espresso" in its terrible twos, how Dr. Love filled the hole in Catherine's heart (literally), and the "euthanasia coaster". All this, an attack on routine, an attack on thumbs, and an attack on British accents (that we are the perpetrators of). Catherine is sweet as honey, delightful as pie, and God's gift. Super Mother, Not the Father: A Mother's Day Special for Single Moms | EP41

Hello, my Queens and welcome to another episode of X.S.M. (X and the Single Mom) Podcast Episode 41: Mother's Day Special | Single Moms – Super Moms & That Is Enough Happy Mother's Day to every mother, this podcast is for every single mom, tired mom, praying mom, the mom who keeps showing up even when life feels heavy. In this special Mother's Day episode of X and the Single Mom, we are celebrating the beauty, strength, sacrifice, and sacred responsibility of motherhood. But we are also having an honest conversation about a phrase many single moms have said before: "I'm the mother and the father." This episode lovingly reminds single moms that you do not have to carry a title that was never yours to prove your strength. A father's role is a separate role with separate responsibilities, and trying to carry both can create an emotional burden you were never meant to bare. -          You are not the mother and the father. -          You are the mother. -          And motherhood is powerful all by itself. In this episode, we talk about honoring your role, releasing unnecessary pressure, understanding the difference between standing in the gap and becoming someone, you are not, and remembering that being a super mom does not mean being everything to everybody: You are allowed to need help, build support, admit that one person cannot (nor should they want to) replace an entire role. Remember, especially on this day.  You are still worthy of honor. This Mother's Day, the message is simple: You are not a substitute father. You are not required to be two people, trying to take on dual rolls. Most of you are super moms and that is more than enough. Thank you for being part of this journey. If this episode speaks to you, share it with another mom who needs it.
