    Are you Broken?

David knew something we dearly need to understand today; that God does not want us to pick ourselves up after we have done some [wrong] and simply try harder. He doesn't want us to feed our pride by making things right. But God requires a broken and a contrite spirit. Pastor Francis delve into the subject of Brokenness from Psalm 51:16-17

    The Gift of the Father

From Luke 11:11-13, It is clear that God the Father is the ideal father, unparalleled by our earthly fathers. It is important to note that all human fathers originate from God, Ephesians 3:14-15 “For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.”  Every child has an expectation to receive from their fathers and in most circumstances, we come short and that's why we should ultimately look up to our heavenly Father. By this, our expectations are met and we can be able to forgive every shortcoming of our earthly fathers.  We can forgive because God the Father gave us the best gift of all when He gave us His only begotten Son. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Francis concludes by saying that We could/might have been disappointed by a [earthly] father, but God is our Heavenly Father who does not fail. It is therefore imperative that we receive His gift to us

    My Discomfort For His Glory?

We all love our comfort, but is it possible that our discomfort sometimes serves the purpose of God? If this is so, then I believe that He will require that from us.

This Time I will Praise The Lord!

Like many of us, we can get preoccupied with the things we don't have, that we forget to praise God for what we have. Pastor Francis takes us through the story of Leah in Genesis 29:35 when she realises that she's probably made a mistake focusing all her attention on the things that do not lie in her power to change; to be loved by her husband. We are therefore exhorted to stop focusing on our problems and start putting the attention (our focus) on Jesus. https://anchor.fm/brofk/message

    Life of confusion?

In this episode your servant Francis takes a look at the confusion that surrounds the life of Jacob in Genesis 27, and 28 and how an encounter with God beings hope. You might not know where life is taking you especially when things are bad. But if Jesus is in your boat; with the eyes of faith, you know that life will swing you safely to your destination on matter the storms.

    DON’T GO BACK

This is an exhortation to press on and not go back in the midst of adversity, difficulties, impossibilities, etc. It is always tempting to “go back” as the solution to life’s supposed impossibilities. Pastor Francis draws from Abraham’s instruction to his servant; “Beware that you don’t take my son back there” (Genesis 24:6) to admonish is to press on in our Christian walk.

    Omnipotence confronts impotence

John in the book of John 5:5 draws our attention to one one, a desperate and undoubtedly well-known case around the pool of Bethesda (House of Mercy) where lay a miserable group of people, many helpless but all hopeless. The Bible gives a picture of two confrontations that take place, first involving Christ and the man who had been sick for 38 year (John 5:6-7), second between Christ and the Pharisees (John 5:16-18). May God confront our addictions, struggles with hope and mercy.
