    TRASH IT | Convo #1: Introduction | Time for Some Holy Housekeeping

    What if “take out the trash” is the most freeing spiritual practice you try this year? In this episode, we turn a familiar household chore into a vivid, practical metaphor for discipleship, using Ephesians 4:22–23 as our anchor: throw off what doesn’t belong and let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Instead of organizing our clutter, we talk about removing it—clearing space for God’s new work in a new season. We walk through the difference between obvious sin and subtle weights that still slow us down, drawing on Hebrews 12:1 to name what hinders our race. From there, we lay out four honest categories that shape the weeks ahead: unhealthy inputs we consume, unhelpful habits that drain focus, ungodly emotions we’ve stored rather than surrendered, and false narratives that distort how we see God, ourselves, and others. Each theme begins with Scripture, moves to simple questions—what, why, how—and ends with small steps of obedience that make room for renewal. This is devotion-driven discipleship in everyday language: seek God personally, speak about him intentionally, and lead those entrusted to you without handing them a to-do list.     Come On In | Convo 1 | A Step by Step Tour Through the FDM App

    You can feel it when something is built to welcome you. That’s the heart behind the Family Disciple Me app, and it’s what we lean into as we guide you through your first steps inside this new space for family discipleship and spiritual growth. We walk you through how the app is organized so you always know where you are and what to do next: Themes that help you choose a starting point, Guides that gather conversations around a Scripture or topic, and Conversations where discipleship actually happens. We also explain why every conversation begins with a Bible passage. Before we seek God, we remember He is already seeking us, and that truth turns Bible study from rushing and skimming into slowing down and listening. From there, we unpack the core rhythm that shapes the entire experience: Seek Him Speak Him. In Seek Him, we use three simple questions to help Scripture land in real life: What is God saying through this text? Why does it matter today? How is God inviting me to respond? Then we move into what we call Speak Him, because what God is forming in you is meant to be shared. Discipleship can be as simple as one honest conversation at a time.     Come On In | Convo 2 | An Intro to the FDM App with God's Promise and Invitation

    You know the moment. Someone you love says something real, the door cracks open for a deeper conversation, and you can almost feel the opportunity sitting there. You want to point them to God’s Word, you want to lead well, and then your mind goes blank because you’re not sure where to begin. We talk honestly about that hesitation and why it usually isn’t a heart problem. It’s a starting point problem. I share why Family Disciple Me was created and how simple, meaningful, intentional Bible conversations can happen without pressure or perfect phrasing. Discipleship doesn’t require you to have all the answers. It requires willingness, attention, and a next step. Psalm 32:8 anchors the whole approach with God’s promise to instruct, teach, and counsel us personally. When we trust that we’re being led, we can lead someone else with humility and confidence.     LISTEN LINGER LEAD | Convo #1: An Introduction into the Rhythm

    Have you ever felt the pull to grow closer to God, yet found yourself distracted, rushed, or unsure where to begin? We start with a scene most of us recognize: the music is great, the rhythm is steady, but nobody moves until one person finally steps into the beat. That small act changes the whole room, and it’s a picture of how spiritual momentum often begins in real life.  I’m Tosha Williams, and I’m sharing a simple framework that has shaped how I walk with God and how I disciple the people He’s placed in my everyday life. The rhythm is listen, linger, lead. We listen for God’s voice as we draw near through Scripture and prayer. We linger in His presence long enough for Him to form us, not just inspire us. Then we lead by letting what He’s doing in us flow outward in conversations, relationships, parenting, mentoring, and ordinary moments where faith becomes visible. That’s devotion-driven discipleship, the move from Seek Him to Speak Him.  Psalm 73:28 anchors it all: “It is good to be near God… I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge… I will tell of all your deeds.” We connect each phrase to a practical next step, and we name the tension many Christians feel: we try harder, get tired, and wonder what’s missing. What if the issue isn’t effort, but rhythm?
