    LD 3 - A Quest for Beauty

    17 year old me had a dream of a beautiful life - and decided to choose it. 17 year old me sat down in front of the principal, who looked at the report card and asked: “What are you wanting to study?”   “Primary Education.”   He paused, placed the report down and commented. “That’s honourable.”   With limited eyes to see, and limited choices to take as a 17 year old, we choose a path.     LD 2 | Hope in Rock Bottoms

    "There’s no ending wave after wave of tomorrows, there’s no slowing down. Sometimes you find yourself like a deer in headlights - staring ahead frozen with the onslaught of mondays to fridays - and even weekends dont appear to offer the relief  because there’s washing to do, groceries to buy, meal prep for the week, cobwebs to clean and vacuuming under the couch.  By the end of the weekend, collapsed onto the bed, the next week starts again."  Sometimes life overwhelms.     LB 1 | Patience in the Journey

    "Perhaps the path of being humbled in our pride, being frustrated by our limitedness, being held back because of barriers is the path needed to learn the patience we need in our lives.  We will only learn to slow down when we’ve run for a thousand miles an hour, and realise that this speed is sustainable. When we get glass in our foot, mould in our books, Covid in our lungs and have to lie in bed in exhaustion."  The journey of living deliberately is filled with frustrations. Frustrations that need patience and lead to patience.     LB 0.5 | Beginning the Journey into the Woods

    "Stripped from things that made me useful and busy, having to drop projects for work without notice, disconnected from others in isolation - I had unknowingly wandered into the woods and to Walden Pond  And now, I had to figure out what it meant to live deliberately. To front only the essential facts of life - sleeping, breathing, eating, going to the bathroom, and see if i could not learn what it had to teach, and not when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."
