    Confused about the vaccine and new COVID-19 guidelines? We got you!

    Since the rollout of the vaccine, the CDC has made some major changes to the guidelines we've been following regarding mask wearing, gathering in groups, and in-person classes. Not everybody has received their vaccine either. Some think it's too soon while others believe that it is necessary. And that's why a group young people got together to ask the Chief Medical Officer of Pima County, Dr.Garcia to ask some of the most pressing questions that we all have in this stage of the pandemic.

    Legal battles and the insights of an undocumented immigrant & DACA recipient

    The DACA program is headed back into U.S. Courts. This legal limbo is a stressor experienced by many and an issue that leaves many people out. We'll be talking to two young folks, one who is a DACA recipient and another who cannot apply for the program. Let's hear their insights and the message they have for our leaders.

    Arizona Primary Election RECAP

    August 4th was the Arizona Primary. There were both wins and losses that maintained the status quote, shook things up, and indicated a progressive blue wave in Southern Arizona. On today's podcast we'll be directing the wins and losses of AZ State legislature races, County Wide Races in both Pima and Maricopa with a couple of friends from Grass-Roots organization LUCHA.

    Young Chicano Men and Poetry

    Poetry is beautiful. It's a powerful tool that can change the world. Today, we'll be hearing the work of two young Chicanos who have a way with words. One of whom is an artist, the other competed in a national poetry competition. I'll even use their advice to craft up a piece of my own that I'll be presenting later on in the show.

    How do students feel about schools reopening?

    It seems like the student perspective has been lacking from the conversations surrounding the reopening of schools this Fall. That is why I held a panel discussion on today's podcast episode to further understand what students are feeling. This is one of my favorite episodes so far. Such a raw, critical, and chill panel discussion with college and high school students. Enjoy.

    Super excited to have our first elected officials on the pod! Constable Ferguson and Constable Randall are reforming the Constable's office and the way we do evictions here in Pima County. We'll have a conversation about the work that they are doing to better the lives of our most vulnerable communities.

    A symbol of hate not heritage

    Symbols of the confederacy are still very prevalent today. But a growing outcry against the presence of statues and the rebel flag in public are getting stronger. Today, I'm speaking with my friend, Brian. He is a young person who proudly flies the rebel flag and disagrees with the taking down of statues.
