We must guard our tongue and refuse to spread gossip and slander. If we are to live the good life that leads others to Christ, we cannot resort to quarreling and fighting. While we cannot conform to this world, we must learn to share the truth of Christ in love.

Unfortunately for Christians, we often forget that our actions and words are the greatest tools we have to show others what it means to be a follower of Christ. We have a reputation of being judgmental and rebellious. In Titus 3, Pastor Matt explains that we are to be submissive to authority and to be a light to the world around us.

    People are always attracted to authenticity. The opposite is also true, people are repulsed by inconsistency. In order to live the good life and lead others to Christ, we have to be consistent in our Christian living. It means taking the time to disciple those younger and less mature than you. It means being disciplined and self-controlled. It means working hard for those in authority over us and modeling the good life for others. Today, Pastor Matt continues studying the first 10 verses of Titus chapter 2.

    The Essential, Attractional Church

    People are always attracted to authenticity. The opposite is also true, people are repulsed by inconsistency. Today, Pastor Matt continues in book of Titus as he looks at Chapter 2. This chapter is all about our relationships with others. In order to live the good life and lead others to Christ, we have to be consistent in our Christian living. For those mature in the faith, it means finding younger men and women to disciple and set an example. Age is not an excuse to take it easy. Leading others to Christ is a life-long task.

    Leaders are a vital part of God’s plan for the church. Titus chapter 1 is all about Godly leadership and what it means to live the good life that leads others back to Christ. An aspect of healthy church leadership is addressing falsehoods that arise, and correcting those who have been fooled. Godly leaders cannot be content to allow God's Word to be twisted for worldly gain. To live the good life we must lead others to Christ and encourage them to lead others to Christ as well.
