    LIFE SERIES: Holy Spirit #5

    John Peachey brings insight and understanding into the person of the Holy Spirt, our friend, who brings life and increasing communion with the triune God. God’s desire is to reveal more of Himself to His children, bringing revelation through the indwelling Spirit. John’s teaching helps us to understand the character of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit and explores some of the hindrances that become barriers in our lives to receiving the Spirit. This teaching is an encouragement to eagerly desire more of Holy Spirit as we allow Him to make our home in us and become more fully who God has created us to be. Biography John helps leaders grow in Christian formation and discipleship and has served in missions more than 35 years. He is married to Suzi, and together with their four children and friends, work to strengthen Ugandan families through Orphans Know More. John completed his doctorate through the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies with a PhD in education from Middlesex University.     Emily Freestone shares about the journey into knowing the nature and character of God. This is a journey into relationship with a personal God who wants to be known by us. Emily explores understanding God as a good father as well as His other attributes. She looks at how his nature and character are revealed in the outworking of His love expressed throughout the biblical narrative. This is our loving God who longs to reveal more of himself to you today. Biography Emily Freestone is married, with 4 children and has been with YWAM around 11 years. She is passionate about the generations coming together and learning from each other. Emily loves being a part of the discipleship process and seeing people catch hold of who God is and who they are in Him. Questions for personal reflection or group discussion 1. How would you describe your relationship with God at present? e.g. Do you see him and interact with him more as your boss, master, lover, friend, or father etc? What would you like your relationship to be like? 2. Recall a time when God showed you, he loved you, either through his actions or what he shared with you. 3. What is God showing you or wanting to reveal to you about his nature and character in the season you are walking in? If you are not sure, ask Him and trust Him to tell you. 4.     Krista Alexandersson shares how we have been created for relationship with God. Communication is critical to relationship and learning to recognise God’s voice. God desires to engage with our whole lives as he invites us to walk with Him. Krista shares stories from her experiences and encourages us to practice hearing God’s voice as well as taking time to set rhythms that encourage time with God. Hearing God’s voice is a gift for every believer. Biography Krista Alexandersson is Canadian and a mum of 3.
