    Sermon | No One Like Him (Exodus 8:1-9:12)

    In Exodus 8:1–9:12, God reveals more of Himself through the plagues. His precision in the timing and progression of the plagues demonstrates His sovereignty and reassures His people that He keeps His promises down to the smallest detail. His power is displayed as Pharaoh's magicians fail to replicate God's works and are forced to acknowledge that they are outmatched by the living God. Through it all, God is setting apart His people by grace, reminding them, and us, that we have been freed to worship Him and live as a holy people.

    Sermon | The Name and the Claim (Exodus 7:1-25)

    Exodus 7 reveals that every sign God gave Pharaoh was not merely a miracle, but a declaration of His authority over His people, His enemies, and the nations. While Pharaoh’s heart grew harder with each warning, Aaron and Moses stood confidently in the power and promise of God, trusting the One who subdues chaos itself and triumphs over every false power and idol.

    Sermon | Is God Faithful? (Exodus 6:1-30)

    In Exodus 6, Moses returns to God weary and questioning after the trust between him and the people of Israel begins to erode, yet God responds by reminding Moses of His covenant faithfulness. The same God who made promises to Abraham proves throughout Scripture that His character is steadfast, redeeming a people for Himself through covenants that ultimately find their fulfillment in Christ. Though our doubt and self-centeredness can tempt us to believe we will be the generation where God stops being faithful, Scripture continually reminds us that God always keeps His promises. From Exodus to Revelation, we see that there is no safer ground than standing on the trustworthy and true promises of God, who moves toward His people, redeems them, and fulfills every word He has spoken.

    Sermon | The Labor of Lament (Exodus 5:1-23)

    Following God does not shield us from suffering, but it does shape how we respond to it. Scripture teaches us to practice lament turning to God in honest complaint, bringing our troubles and grief directly to Him, and asking Him to intervene. Moses models this posture when he turns to the Lord after his obedience to God and Pharaoh's response led to further suffering. As Christians, we lament with assurance that the story is not over, just as it was not over in Exodus 5.

    Sermon | My Son for You (Exodus 4:1-31)

    God calls Moses to proclaim deliverance, yet meets his doubt with patient provision, giving signs, a spokesman, and a clear summons to obedience. The signs He performs reveal His power over all, foreshadowing the coming plagues and declaring that He alone blesses, judges, and saves. God also makes clear His sovereign rule, even over Pharaoh’s heart, while calling Israel His firstborn son and demanding their release. Through the sobering scene of blood and covenant, ultimately pointing to Christ, we see that deliverance comes by God’s provision of a substitute, where He gives His own Son so that His people might be spared and brought to worship.

    Sermon | The Nature and the Name of God (Exodus 3:1-22)

    In Exodus 3, we see one of the most well-known Bible stories as God appears to Moses in the burning bush. In this interaction, we see God reveal Himself to Moses as a holy, eternal, and near God. He calls Moses to return to Egypt and be the instrument through which He will deliver His people from slavery. Even in Moses’ fear and hesitation, God assures him of His presence and faithfulness.

    Sermon | God's Providence in the Hidden Places (Exodus 2:1-25)

    In Exodus 2, the life of Moses begins to unfold under the quiet but steady hand of God’s providence. We see a mother entrusting her child to the river with an uncertain future, a sister watching from a distance, and Pharaoh’s daughter unexpectedly raising the very one who would later challenge Egypt’s power. As Moses grows, he witnesses injustice, acts in haste, and flees to Midian, where his life again seems hidden and uncertain. Yet while Moses’ story develops in the background, Israel cries out in their suffering, and the chapter closes with a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness: God remembered His covenant, God saw His people, and God knew.

    Sermon | Unfolding of God's Promises (Exodus 1:1-22)

    Exodus is a book rich with foreshadowing, vivid imagery, and powerful accounts that reveal God’s redemption, providence, and deliverance for His people. In Genesis, God promises to multiply His people and give them a land to call their own, and Exodus begins as those promises start to unfold. We see clear evidence that God has multiplied and sustained His people, even in the midst of hardship and oppression. Yet the fulfillment of their promised home still lies ahead, setting the stage for God’s continued faithfulness and redeeming work.
