Remembering WCW's Terrible Mortal Kombat Ripoff

This week, we look at the talent released by WWE last week, where we think they might go next, and gush about Bo Dallas quite a bit. Then, to celebrate the release of the new Mortal Kombat movie, we look back on the time WCW ripped off Mortal Kombat. Glacier was like if Sub-Zero was a bad wrestler that superkicked everyone.

BAZINGA!

Mat & Chris lovingly serve up an audio smorgasbord of the weird and wacky parts of professional wrestling history. From Robocop in WCW to Gangrel Watch. Newest addition to the team Prediction Bot 3000 shows us a glimpse of wrestling’s future and helps us all take a moment to appreciate how great Colin Firth is. Highly recommend. Give it a listen “You Coward!” *Sample from Macho Man Randy Savage’s Rap Album*

Definitely recommend

A fun weekly podcast about the random things that have happened in pro wrestling over the years. The hosts have a great dynamic & are entertaining whether or not you know a lot about wrestling. Definitely recommend.

It’s the most fun wrestling show

This is such a creative and unique show, even for people like me who aren’t hardcore wrestling fans. Chris and Mat aren’t just recapping matches or talking about inside baseball. They set things up so everyone can be included and find things that I had no idea were actually things so I leave every episode not only feeling entertained, but informed. I’m so stoked to be a Wrestle Buddy!
