    PowerUp Hero Interview: Belkis Clarke - Empowerment Expert and Catalytic Life Coach Belkis is a captivating, insightful Communication Teacher, Empowerment Expert, Catalytic Life Coach, and International Speaker who possesses a unique gift of delivering messages that transform lives that echo long after she leaves the stage. Her inspirational, power-packed delivery leaves her audience in awe. Whether she is sitting across from a friend offering encouragement and support, leading a workshop or seminar, or captivating an audience on the stage, Belkis’ impact and power resonate with audiences all around the globe. Her experiences are abundant and extensive. Her accomplishments are diverse, resulting in her ability to relate to a wide range of audiences. She works tirelessly helping women worldwide who have lived through trauma identify what holds them back and how they can break free, learn the art of effective communication, and unleash their unique gifts. A survivor of sexual abuse, Belkis has risen from a place of attempted suicide to success. For more than a decade, she has been captivating, inspiring, motivating, and teaching audiences, including survivors of sexual abuse and trauma, how to love themselves, identify their value, build their self-confidence, make better choices and map their purpose as they journey to legendary transformation. Belkis was born on the island of St. Kitts. Her mother and stepfather moved to St. Maarten in pursuit of a better life for the family. From her grandmother and her parents, she learned values such as hard work, tenacity, resilience, discipline, and commitment. Belkis applied these to her life and eventually attended the University of the Southern Caribbean, graduating summa cum laude and the top student with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in communication. She was offered a full scholarship and went on to get her master’s in Human Communication. On the heels of graduating Valedictorian, Belkis realized that her destiny was to be a speaker and coach, empowering others to become their best selves, live meaningful lives, and be truly happy. She has taught at every level, from Pre-k to University, and brings that dedication to the stage and online. Belkis has spent more than a decade teaching and coaching suicidal and depressed teens and adults. She has been teaching men and women how to get back on their feet after a divorce, heartbreaks, disappointments, and trauma and live a life they are happy to step into every day. She helps people to find their position in God and see themselves from His perspective. Belkis has authored “Girl, You Are Overthinking It!” co-authored “Tying the Knot Between Ministry and the Market Place, (Volume 2). Her writing and her story have been featured on the international Red Cross website, local media in the Dutch Antilles, Thrive global, Heiden magazine, Authority Magazine, Be Your Own, and she has been on several podcasts such Is She's Making an Impact, The Pitchtank, and The Authentic Courage series, among others. Belkis is known for being able to bring messages that leave lives transformed and audiences inspired and on fire.     PowerUp Hero LIVE Interview: Kandice Fricke - School Administrator and Mental Health Hero Kandice Fricke is a licensed therapist, life coach, realtor, educator, and author. Kandice has a passion for mental health and believes that educating people about the importance of mental health wellness is the key to helping others achieve their full potential. Kandice was born and raised in Texas and is the daughter of a psychologist and a teacher, so education and mental health run deep within her soul. Kandice received a BS in Elementary Education from Texas Christian University and an MS in Counseling from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Kandice has been an elementary school teacher and counselor, adjunct professor in psychology, and counselor at Del Mar College, and is currently a school administrator. Kandice has a private practice where she specializes in anxiety, couples counseling, and recovering from trauma/grief and loss. Kandice has two grown children and loves her dogs and cats. Kandice enjoys the beach, reading, cooking, and traveling. She believes that having a positive attitude and actively seeking positive experiences, maintaining a self-care routine, and having close family and friends is her key to maintaining a life that brings her joy.
