The Rest is Electric

Quirky characters and perfect casting allow for some deliciously long and awkward pauses in this futuristic workplace comedy with promises of evil schemes and body horror. Season 1 ends with more of a mid-season style cliffhanger, so it’s hard to judge how well the plot hangs together in the end, but the sound design and funky world building give enough substance to hold on through all the episodes. Intro and outro music is enough louder than some of the adjacent dialog that you’ll want to ride the volume control, but also some of the sound is juicy enough you’ll want to risk the volume ouchies with some decent earphones. Really fun find.

Great first episode! Nicola and her team have outdone herself. Super intriguing premise.
