In a professional career spanning over 50 years, musician and historian Terry Waldo has performed on and produced over 70 albums of ragtime and trad jazz. He has written the book on the subject, also called This Is Ragtime. He has known personally and performed with many legends of this music. Drawing on his vast library of recordings and interviews, Terry presents the story of the music as he has known it from the inside.

Then follows a look at Scott Joplin's greatest works. We include 2 numbers from Terry's new albums: Terry Waldo Treasury Volume 1 and 2. The program concludes with #5 of Waldo's original NPR This Is Ragtime series that has selections of the first complete performance of Joplin's opera Treemonisha.

They have been replaced by other unrestricted performances.
